Our youngest drove in from Florida for the weekend for a quick visit. It’s so good to see her!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We have missed her so much! It’s her first time meeting the new puppies , and they are all having a ball!!! I also can’t let the weekend go by without feeding the child, so I have fired up the smoker!!!! (Sorry Kelsey, I know I owe you ribs) Last night was Dino ribs and chicken thighs, today it’s pulled pork. Going to make sure she has food to take back with her. The pork just hit 160 degrees. Another 15 and I will wrap it with some butter and honey and wait for it to hit 205-210….

I thought I would share our travel maps so you could see where we have been. 2024 was not a great year for travel because of medical reasons and staying in Texas for Lexi’s Masters graduation, but we definitely made up for it this year! To much I think. It has been fun, but a little bit exhausting too. Fortunately we have some time to plan next years adventure. I think we are going to take it a little slower. Oh and all the extra blue dots on the 2023 map are places I bookmarked 😉 the 2024 dots are where we were going to go and 2025 are places we did go.

We appreciate every one of you following our adventures! It’s travel day again. We are headed to Tulsa for a couple days Ian our way back to east Texas. Trying not to do back to back days with the new puppers. Today’s ride is definitely going better than the first. There hasn’t been any whining, but Winnie is sharing Emma’s doggie seat instead of staying in her own. Whatever makes her happy at this point. Now to work on potty training… Ugg

Sorry we've been so quiet lately. My Aunt passed away and we traveled to Wisconsin for her celebration of life. It's always a bittersweet experience going back, especially under these circumstances. That said, I'm thrilled to introduce you to the new members of our pack, Emma and Winnifred (Winnie), formerly Ethel, because she's decided Ethel just isn't her name. They were my aunt's beloved dogs, and we're honored to give them a new home on the road with us. It's going to be an adventure since they're new to car rides. Emma is taking to it like a pro in her doggy car seat, while Winnie may need a little extra encouragement. She'll have to endure a couple rides before we get back to Houston to see my vet for some doggie Va**um.

Upon our arrival in Kansas City, we were immediately immersed in a whirlwind of activities, courtesy of our children. Friday evening saw us attending a concert featuring 38 Special and Kansas, courtesy of our kids. Saturday was a day of laundry and a family visit, where we savored grilled brats and BBQ beans by the campfire. Our 29th wedding anniversary on Sunday was celebrated in style, with a visit to the Kansas Speedway for the NASCAR event. The race was electrifying! We had an absolute blast.

Last night was out last stop before we get to Kansas City. Signaling the beginning of the end of this year’s traveling. We stayed at an old missile silo that is being turned into a resort and air bnb. He has hydroponics growing inside, and his goal is to be totally self sustaining.. Joel went on the tour of the facility and said it was interesting. Definitely looking forward to seeing the kids today and going to the NASCAR race on the 28th. Not a bad way to spend our 29th wedding anniversary. I’m sure the have something else up their sleeves, but no one is talking. All I care is we are with them. It will be great to be in the area for a while. 🥰
