Did the tariffs see their shadow? Happy Groundhog Day! Just like Punxsutawney Phil, the tariff landscape seems to be popping its head up, looking around, and changing its mind. Last week, we were bracing for 10% duties on EU goods starting Feb 1st (the "Greenland" tariffs). Then—poof—they were paused. But while those retreated, the Section 232 tariffs on AI semiconductors are very much out in the cold and active as of Jan 15.
