Each custom drum badge that we produce is 100% custom made to your specifications. Minimum order is 30 badges, and there are price breaks at quantities of 50 and 100. We are happy to provide quotes for larger quantities upon request. We offer two main type of drum badges, Die-Cast and Photo Etched. the differences are explained below, along with other important information about the process that y
ou should know prior to placing your order. STANCARD DIE-CAST
For the ultimate look and finish, our die cast badges are the way to go. They are 3mm thick as standard and are cast from a Zinc allow and can be plated with a variety of different metal finishes and enamel colors. These also have the option of having rear mounted spuds on them so that the mounting screws are concealed inside the drum shell. Each badge is cast to a 14" base curve, causing them to curve naturally with the surface of the drum shell. DIE-CAST 3D
This has all of the build features of the Standard Die-Cast but with extra depth added as a manufacturing process at the foundry. Although we can add depth to any design, it's going to be more prominent on artwork with elements that have a lot of fine detail (typically with an antique finish) and no enamel. The choice is yours and of course you would get a CNC preview to approve first. STANDARD ETCHED
If you want a badge that looks similar to the ones used by DW, Pearl, TAMA etc, these will get you there. As standard they are crafted from .032” (1mm) brass or you can opt for the 0.8mm slim for extra bendability. They can be any custom shape, and can be plated with 20 different metal finishes and any standard color or Pantone enamel color. They are also just thin enough to be bent to the curvature of the shell when mounting. BARE-METAL ETCHED
Similar to Standard Etched build-wise, but these are not plated with a finish. Choose from unfinished Brass, Aluminum or Stainless Steel base metal. They can be plain or enameled with any standard color or Pantone enamel color. MOULDING & RETOOLING
Our precision-crafted badges require a creating a mould for metal fabrication. There is an initial mould charge for new orders based on the badge type and a flat-rate retooling fee for reorders. All moulds are kept good for two years from date of manufacture. Order at least every 2 years and you will never have to pay another mould creation fee again! ALREADY HAVE A DESIGN? MAKE SURE IT IS READY FOR MANUFACTURING
A vector file by itself won’t get you there most of the time. Sometimes the designer doesn’t comprehend fabrication limitations or other times the specifications in the design guide are incomplete. Bottom line is… If the badge specifications are not properly represented in your design file for manufacturing or if the fabricated result you want is unclear, this can result in unwanted results, increased delays and costly design fees. Be sure to check the DEGIGN GUIDE before ordering. For true vector designs (that contains 100% true vector elements) and only needs to be prepared/set up for manufacturing, we offer a flat-rate assistance. CONCEPT ARTWORK OR START FROM SCRATCH
Concept artwork can be any drawing, image or vector file that illustrates the vision for your design. Seriously, we have taken everything from pictures to hand drawings, so nothing is impossible! For concept artwork (e.g. drawing, image or vector) or design that you want to start from scratch, we offer a full design assistance that includes both the badge design and project management. You will also receive recommendations that complement your design theme and navigate around any common issues that relate to fabrication tolerances or limitations. LEAD TIME & SHIPPING
Each badge design is unique and is manufactured from scratch. There is a 30 piece minimum to place an order and lead time is 8-10 weeks from the date a completed design is provided and the order is paid in full.
