Anyone can use a load board. Using it as a tool is key though.

Before you book a load you need to know:

Where will this truck be in 48 hours?
Is freight building in that market?
Are rates climbing or softening?
Will this create unnecessary deadhead?
Does this position us for another strong load?

Make sure you’re not just paying someone to only find you loads. Make sure they’re positioning your truck.

Most carriers judge a load by the rate.

I judge it by what happens after delivery. The goal isn’t to maximize one load, it’s to maximize weekly revenue.

Not every truck is meant to make local money.

Not every lane is built for daily home time.

And you can’t always force local money out of long haul freight.

Don’t you want a dispatcher to position your truck instead of chasing loads for you? You can chase loads yourself and don’t have to pay anyone.

Hey y’all, we’d like to introduce ourselves!

We’re a Texas-based husband and wife dispatch team. Our goal is simple and hopefully aligns with yours- working hard to grow and scale not only our business, but yours as well. We’re honest and reliable, you have to have an MC to work with us. We don’t work with everyone out there. We’re not trying to do the most, quality over quantity over here. You have standards and so do we.

We are not cut from the same cloth as the majority of questionable dispatchers out there. We don’t just grab the highest paying loads on a board- we use the boards as a tool but more than anything build broker relationships and use strategy and positioning to keep your trucks profitable, not just busy.

Then the week resets again.

if every “good load” leads to a weaker position, the problem never shows up immediately. It shows up at the end of the week.

Momentum is built where the load drops you and what options are available next.

Consistency is built by thinking methodically and doing this week after week- not chasing top rates.

At some point, hard work stops being the issue.

A lot of experienced owner operators stay stuck because the operation never evolves:

Still chasing loads day-to-day-
Still reacting instead of planning-
Still depending on luck to put together a good week-

Experience doesn’t automatically create consistency in business.

The carriers making stronger numbers usually have:

-Better positioning
-Stronger planning between loads
-Systems that reduce bad decisions before they happen.

The goal is to scale not just stay busy.

If your numbers haven’t changed in a while, it may not be effort holding you back anymore.
