PrinceGeorges Advocates for Community-Based Transit Prince George’s ACT advocates for accessible transit and livable communities in Prince George’s Please join us to learn more about transit in our county.

Prince George’s Advocates for Community-based (PG-ACT) works to promote better transit service, transit-oriented development and safe access to transit. Safe and convenient transportation choices, including walking and bicycling, should be a priority for our communities. We have monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month, alternating between northern and southern Prince George's County.

Heads up on Metro bus and rail changes effective September 5th

We're making changes that will make riding easier and more convenient as the region resumes school, leisure activities, and returns to workplaces. Beginning September 5, Metro will add more buses and trains, offer lower prices, and extend Metrorail’s operating hours on weekends.

One of the biggest reasons we need an active and engaged community advocacy group is to engage with our surrounding communities and help fix the issues with our entire transportation infrastructure. Not to mention, finding solutions to things such as traffic congestion, suburban sprawl and pedestrian fatalities.
