Last week we were on site updating all onboard electronics and troubleshooting a NMEA 2000 engine data communication issue from the Caterpillar diesel engines to the main backbone network. After diagnostics and testing, we tracked down and corrected connection issues that were affecting engine data communication across the system.

While onboard, we also diagnosed an intermittent issue with one of the A/C system control panels and found a loose connection that was cleaned, secured, and tested back into proper working order.

Another productive week keeping systems reliable and customers on the water. Big thanks to everyone continuing to support Friendly Marine — your local mobile marine electronics and electrical service.

Just a PSA…

If you’ve been waiting on a callback from me about your project, estimate, or scheduling, please reach back out. Unfortunately, my main notebook with customer notes — and no computer backup — got a little too wet. Turns out boats and paper don’t always make the best crew. 😅
