My little old soul has never been happier! I won these two coordinating lamps at an estate sale over the weekend.

My nana always had this beautiful blue lamp hanging in her living room growing up and I have always wished for it. So, when I saw these - I had to have them!

But - it had me thinking about little conversations trickling in lately - antique store owner pages, business podcasts I follow, local booths at fairs, etc..

It feels like we are craving things with a story?

For a while, everything seemed to be moving toward newer, faster, cleaner, simpler.

Overconsumption, but paying for less.. make the house look un-lived in. White walls. Beige toys. Straight lines. Same-day shipping.

But lately, I’ve noticed the slow shifting.

We’re bringing back color, pattern, texture and things that look like they’ve lived a little life.

Vintage furniture. Quilts. Stained glass. Wallpaper. Handmade pottery. Books with worn covers. Pieces collected from estate sales instead of shipped from an endless online catalog.

It feels like that same craving is showing up beyond our homes, too.

We want to make things with our hands again. We want markets, workshops, book clubs, craft nights and tables where we actually sit across from one another. We want to meet the maker, hear the story, find something we weren’t specifically searching for.

Maybe nostalgia isn’t really about wanting to go back, but we’re just realizing there were some things worth carrying forward.

Especially, experiences shared with real people in real life.

That feels like a pretty good direction for this next chapter of Wild + Wise, too.

Books, goods + gatherings — collections with a little more story.

October feels like turning to a new page. 🍂📖

And this year, I’m actually doing it…

Wild + Wise Reads is entering a new season — one that feels like more growth, more intention, and really shaping into what we’ve envisioned since the beginning.

What started as a little corner to talk about motherhood..became requests to share more about books both mine and my kids’…and has evolved into a need for community and connection, too!

This concept has grown as much as I have personally. I’ve been dreaming bigger about what this space could become. I feel that I have just the thing that I’ve been looking for and I look forward to finally sharing what that means!

More books worth staying up late for.
More of the chaos involved with raising babies.
More things made, collected, and shared.
More reasons to gather — online and in real life.

Over the next few weeks, you’re going to see Wild + Wise Reads come to life in a whole new way — new look, new ideas, behind-the-scenes peeks, things I’m creating, things I’m reading, and some brand-new ways to be part of it all.
I can hardly keep from sharing it all at once.

I hit the town for the early release of Verity with my partner in crime through business, books + babies. 📖🖤

There are very few people who will willingly discuss business ideas, motherhood, AND books with me — so obviously, I have to keep her. 🙌🏼

And YES, I have thoughts about Verity. 👀

All I’m going to say is “the book is always better”.. sorry not sorry, wouldn’t you assume that’s naturally my opinion anyway? 🤷🏼‍♀️
