April 8th, 2024. 7am: Partial Eclipse from Hawaii

Lahaina Noon is Soon.
Hawaiʻi is in the tropics. So, Twice a year the Sun passes through the exact zenith above the islands causing anything standing straight up (or Kū in Hawaiian) to apperently lose their shadows for 8 minutes. It has been described as "looking like you were in a glitched video game".

May 5th-6th penumbral lunar eclipse... If you're in Australia the Moon might look a little darker for a bit. Maybe not exciting, but the more you know.
