Today is a special day for LuGreg. A day we get the opportunity to recognize Mrs. Michelle Harder and her 25 years of service! Any time we get to pause to recognize a milestone like this, I’m reminded how blessed we are as a company. LuGreg isn’t at the end of the day built on slogans or words on a wall—it’s built by people who show up every day, do the right things the right way, and quietly live out Operational Excellence for His Glory. That kind of culture only exists because of team members who believe in it and consistently bring it to life. Today, we celebrate one of those people—25 years of service, commitment, and excellence. Reaching a quarter century with one company is a remarkable accomplishment and a testament to Michelle’s commitment, work ethic, and character.
On August 13th, 2001, Michelle joined our team. Interviewed by the legend Ms. Myra, the character qualities noted were: smart, polite, versatile, and flexible. In Ms. Myra’s words from her interview, she thought this team member would make a perfect fit for assisting the GM, H/R, and Safety. In addition to these responsibilities, working with dispatching responsibilities and all other duties deemed necessary – whatever it takes to get the job done. Truly the OG LuGreg job description.
Michelle – you might not have known exactly what that job description meant or entailed (Not sure if we do every day either), but you have lived it in every capacity. Throughout your 25 years you have worked in every inch of that job description and more. Today, I would like to highlight just a few things that I have been blessed to watch :
Throughout your career, you have consistently demonstrated a willingness to do whatever is needed to help the team succeed…Humility. Whether the task is large or small, planned or unexpected, it means a different role, responsibility, or job you approach it with a positive attitude and a servant's heart. Your flexibility and dependability have made you someone that everyone knows in the company they can count on.
Another one of your greatest strengths is your attention to detail. You have an eye for the things others often miss, you are organized and strategic in projects you work on, and that has helped us avoid mistakes, improve processes, and maintain the high standards we expect of ourselves in numerous areas of business.
You have also become one of the quiet protectors of our culture (Little bit Myra’esque if you ask me!). When you have been in the business 25+ years, you are asked to lead by example, reinforce our values, and help ensure that we continue to be the kind of workplace that values people and help each other succeed, not veering from who we desire to be. In your recent HR role and every role prior, you have made them your own, protected the culture, earning the trust and respect of your teammates through consistency, humility, and excellence. You didn't simply fill a position—you strengthened it. Culture like this isn't built by policies— but yet it is built by people like you, every single day.
Thank you for your loyalty, your dedication, and the countless ways you have contributed over the past 25 years. Your impact reaches far beyond the work you complete each day. You have helped shape who we are as a team, and we are grateful to have you as part of our family.
Congratulations on 25 outstanding years. We look forward to celebrating this milestone with you and are excited to see what the years ahead will bring.
