Important Announcement ❤️

Something has been weighing heavily on my heart over the last month, and honestly, this isn't an easy post for me to write.

As much as I have loved helping families plan and experience the magic of Disney and Universal, I've realized that my heart and my priorities are shifting.

My girls are getting older. School and activities are getting more demanding, and they need more of my undivided attention. My family needs me, and I want to make sure I'm giving them the time, presence, and attention they deserve.

After a lot of thought, prayer, and some very honest conversations with myself, I've made the difficult decision to step away from booking vacations for now.

This career has given me so many incredible memories. I've met amazing families, watched clients experience their first Disney trips, and helped celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons, graduations, and so many other special milestones.

I will forever be grateful that you trusted me with those memories. ❤️

But sometimes choosing your family means recognizing when it's time for something to change.

For now, I'm stepping away from booking new vacations and giving myself the freedom to put my family and our homeschool first.

If you currently have a quote out or are on my waitlist for the end of 2027, I will absolutely honor those requests and take care of you. My current booked clients will continue to receive the same care and support from me through their trips.

And this isn't necessarily goodbye forever. Maybe someday my path will lead me back to travel planning in a different way. But right now, I know where I'm needed most.

To everyone who has trusted me, referred me, cheered me on, shared my posts, and let me be even a tiny part of your family's adventures...

✨ Lightning Lanes booked bright and early this morning! ✨

This family is officially in the home stretch, with just 7 days until they’re headed home to the magic! And I LOVE seeing all the pieces of their vacation plans fall perfectly into place. 🥰

They’ll be spending 3 days in the parks, enjoying a break day in between, and then capping off their trip with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! 🎃👻

Here’s what we grabbed this morning:

Pirates of the Caribbean
Haunted Mansion
Which fits perfectly around their Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation! ✨

Since they’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom on a party night, they’ll hop over to Hollywood Studios for dinner at Woody’s Rodeo Roundup BBQ and some Hollywood Studios fun. 🤠

They’re starting the day with breakfast at Akershus before heading into the park for their Lightning Lanes:

Kali River Rapids
Expedition Everest

Then they’ll hop over to Magic Kingdom for the evening, but first, they’re stopping for dinner at Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. 🍽️

I love when all the reservations, dining, Lightning Lanes, and park plans come together exactly how we envisioned them!

Now this family better start packing because they have EXACTLY 7 DAYS until they hear those magical words...

Party of 12, and we secured:

🍴 Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe
👑 Lunch at Akershus
🐷 Lunch at Rodeo BBQ
🎉 Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s
🏰 Dinner at The Crystal Palace

And let me tell you… Thanksgiving week dining for a party of 12 is no joke! Along with Disney's IT, which is full of magical crashes and glitches.

We weren’t able to snag ’Ohana for breakfast or Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, but thankfully, this family was flexible, and we had backup locations for each day.

Sometimes the first plan doesn’t work out, and that’s okay! The magic is in finding the next best option and making it work. In the end, everything has a way of falling into place exactly as it should. ✨

Now this family can officially stop thinking about dining reservations and start thinking about Lightning Lane and counting down to Thanksgiving at Disney! 🦃🏰💛

So, after three days of talking about the food, the parade, and all the Mardi Gras fun, here’s the big question…

Would I plan a Universal vacation around Mardi Gras?

Absolutely! And here’s why.

You get everything Universal already does so well: incredible attractions, fun resorts, great pools, immersive lands, and plenty of time to relax. Then you add Mardi Gras on top of it, and suddenly your vacation has an entirely different kind of energy.

You can enjoy international foods, live entertainment, colorful floats, beads flying through the air, and that festive Carnival atmosphere without leaving Universal Orlando.

Let’s talk about the part that makes everyone feel like a kid again…

The Mardi Gras parade! 🎉

There's something so fun about finding a spot along the parade route, hearing the music start, watching the floats make their way through the park, and seeing beads fly through the air.

The floats are colorful, creative, and full of that larger-than-life Mardi Gras energy. Add in the music, performers, and the excitement of everyone around you, and it becomes one of those Universal moments you don’t want to miss.

And yes, catching beads is absolutely part of the fun! 😂🎊

I also love that the whole family can enjoy this together. You can spend the day riding attractions and exploring the park, then pause to enjoy a parade that feels completely different from your average theme park experience.

As a Louisiana girl, I may always have a soft spot for Mardi Gras. But Universal really knows how to bring that Carnival spirit to life! 💜💚💛

If you’re heading to Universal Mardi Gras, let me give you one very important piece of advice:

Come hungry!

One of my favorite parts of Mardi Gras is the food. And no, we’re not talking about just New Orleans-style dishes!

Universal celebrates the global spirit of Carnival by bringing in foods inspired by countries and cultures from all around the world that celebrate Carnival. 🌎🍴

So you can snack your way through international flavors, try something new, enjoy sweet treats, and experience a little taste of different cultures all in one park.

Of course, as someone from southeastern Louisiana, I’ll always appreciate a little Cajun and Creole flavor. 💜💚💛 But I love that Universal makes Mardi Gras a worldwide celebration.

You get the food, music, atmosphere, parade, and all the festive energy while enjoying a Universal vacation.

Basically, it’s a foodie adventure with roller coasters. And I’m not mad about it. 🎢🍴
