HAPPY VETERANS DAY!🇺🇸
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE AND SACRIFICE!

Today is the day to honor all who have served in our armed forces. To me, every day should be Veterans Day. Every day that we can live in freedom is a day to remember and thank those who defend our freedoms. Our active duty service members and veterans are our greatest defenders of freedom.

Our thoughts go out to all the brave American men and women who are serving around the world, away from their families, making sacrifices every day to make the world safer for all of us.

God bless all of our veterans and active duty service members who have put service before self. May God always bless America. 🇺🇸

With utmost gratitude and respect to all veterans especially those within the LA Carriers Family.

Photos of the USS Kidd being maneuvered at Thoma-Sea Marine Vessel Repair & Construction in Houma, La. by our Offshore Tug (John Boy) and our Inland Tug (Trey Paul). The maneuvering of the USS Kidd is being conducted in preparation for the USS Kidd to be Dry Docked for repairs.
Note the Great Egret, as it appears to be at attention in a millitary fashion on a floating log.

We would like to thank the crew of both the John Boy and the Trey Paul for safely maneuvering such precious cargo, for the USS Kidd holds a speacial place in Millitary and WWII History.

The USS KIDD (DD-661) is a Fletcher-class destroyer, the six hundred sixty-first destroyer built by the United States Navy. In the traditional system of naming destroyers after Naval heroes, she was named after Rear Admiral Isaac Campbell Kidd, Sr. who was killed aboard his flagship, USS ARIZONA (BB-39) during the surprise attack by the Japanese on the American fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

We are honored to have been chosen to take part in and attend such an amazing event.
We would like to commend the students on their awesome presentations and wish them all good luck on their future endeavors within the Maritime Industry.

As part of their studies, our Nicholls College of Business Maritime Concentration students made team presentations on various work boats. The industry support was amazing. In attendance providing feedback and guidance were Edison Chouest Offshore, Bollinger Shipyards, the United States Coast Guard, Kosmos Energy, LA Carriers, and ARTCo. Thanks to all, including our team of Instructors (Reed Davison, Joe Orgeron, and Eric Verdin). We could not accomplish what we do without your commitment to the College of Business at Nicholls State University.
