Need help stopping early extension and flipping? Here's a quick and easy drill that I use to fight this brutal swing flaw.

Early extension can absolutely kill power and consistency because it forces you into really bad positions that you're forced to compensate and correct for.
By removing bad downswing positions you can build a more consistent and powerful swing that relies less on hand timing and more on using your whole body as a cohesive unit.

How important is tempo for your game? Very! Watch to see how it affects speed and distance.

Simple backyard test using 5 different tones (33-11, 30-10, 27-9, 24-8, 21-7) showing you how they change swing speed and consistency. The big takeaway for me was finding the tone closest to my “natural” rhythm/tempo (21-7) definitely produced the best speed, consistency, balance and comfort.

What’s the “best” driver shaft length? Is longer “better?”

In honor of last weekend’s world championships and to help answer the ? about shaft length, I did a quick test with my driver playing at 48” and 45”.

The Test: 10 swings @ each length, averaging the speeds. Surprisingly, the longer shaft was slower (117MPH vs 124MPH). Doing some research and speaking with a club-fitter there’s a simple reason for this. Longer shafts need to be “fit” because adding length can throw off the feel of your club to the point you’ll actually swing slower.

That’s what happened in my test. My swing was out of sync and I lost all sense of where the club was. Going longer had me controlling the club not swinging freely. For me that was enough proof that to go longer, “off the rack” won’t work.

Well what a day this was!! Thank you ! ⛳️ 💯👌🏻

From start to finish every minute of the day was amazing! We was greeted at Valet and escorted to the pro-shop and then onwards to the locker rooms and course. The staff are phenomenal and make you feel like a V.I.P. The amenities were endless, the conditions were superb and I found the course tough but fair which is my favorite type of layout. No circus holes or any awkward shots where you’re cursing the designers. Caddies are included. Their knowledge, tips and information on the course is so helpful. They actually care about you, your game and your experience.

This course is a must at least once in a lifetime. It’s a great layout with lots of tradition, the pictures inside showing off old tournaments and classic Vegas are a lot of fun to take in and you will absolutely have an amazing day from the moment you pull up to the very last putt!!
