Thank you to the Androscoggin County Emergency Management Agency for entrusting Gordon’s Moving with your relocation. We appreciate the opportunity to assist with this important transition and are proud to have contributed to a successful move. Congratulations on your new facility, and best wishes as you continue serving the communities of Androscoggin County.
🚚 FROM THE BASEMENT TO LISBON STREET — IT’S MOVING DAY! 🚚
Yesterday, after decades operating out of the basement of Central Fire Station, Androscoggin County Emergency Management Agency officially headed to our new home at 1450 Lisbon Street in Lewiston.
Many of you may recognize the building as the former home of Maine Public (PBS), who are relocating to a beautiful new facility in Portland.
Our new home will become a multi-use public safety building for Androscoggin County, eventually bringing together ACEMA, Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office Personnel, and County Dispatch under one roof.
For ACEMA, this next chapter means:
📍 A more convenient and accessible location
📦 Room to grow
🎓 More space for training opportunities
🚨 A dedicated home for our Emergency Operations Center
And there’s a bonus to this move: our friends at the Lewiston Fire Department will gain some much-needed additional office and training space back at Central Fire Station.
We also want to extend our sincere thanks to the Androscoggin County Commissioners. Their support and commitment to our agency made this move possible, and we are incredibly grateful for their investment in ACEMA and the future of public safety in our county. This is more than a new space for our team — it’s an opportunity to grow, strengthen our capabilities, and better serve the communities that depend on us.
📦 Also, a huge THANK YOU to Gordon's Moving for helping us make it happen! Their team worked very hard on this challenging move, and because of them, it went flawlessly. 📦
New home. New chapter. Same mission: Serving Androscoggin County. 💙
