In honor of National Road Trip Day, I need to know where you stand.
Are you:
• Team road trip: snacks packed, playlist ready, “we are absolutely stopping at Love's” for a Diet Coke & Gummy Nerds energy
or
• Team fly: get me there faster, hand me a Diet Coke, and let vacation begin immediately
Listen, road trips can be amazing when you plan them right. They can be flexible, budget-friendly, and honestly kind of magical for families. Some of the best memories happen somewhere between the gas station snacks and someone asking, “How much longer?” for the 47th time.
But flying? Flying says, “I would like to skip the interstate personality test and arrive in vacation mode, please.”
Both have their place. Both can be fabulous. Both can also test your patience and your snack strategy.
So tell me: are you Team Road Trip 🚗 or Team Fly ✈️?

Big update at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and yes, it launches TODAY. 🚀
Disney said, “What if we made flying the Falcon even more chaotic in the best possible way?” and honestly, I respect it.
You can now:
• Join Din Djarin, aka The Mandalorian, and Grogu
• Track down ex-Imperial officers across the galaxy
• Choose your own destination
Your mission could take you to:
• Bespin
• Endor
• Coruscant
And for the first time, engineers can interact with Grogu during the mission.
Which means the people in the back finally have more to do than panic, push buttons, and emotionally recover from whatever the pilots are doing up front.
Every role matters even more now, and each ride can feel completely different depending on the choices your crew makes.
So basically, choose your crew wisely. This is not the time to bring someone who says, “I’m just here for vibes,” while actively crashing into space walls.
Now the real question is…
Will your mission succeed, or will Grogu be silently judging your entire cockpit?

One of my favorite travel memories ever happened on a cruise, and honestly, I still get a little emotional thinking about it.
This past year, I cruised with my mom for her 83rd birthday. Originally, it was just supposed to be me and my friend Shelby.
And then my mom said, “Actually, I think I want to come too.”
Say less, Queen. We are packing your bags. 🚢
It was her first cruise ever, and we sailed on the brand new Star Princess, which is quite the introduction. Like, imagine your first cruise ship being that spectacular. The bar is now in the clouds. Good luck to every ship after her.
Even better? A bunch of our family came too, which made the whole trip even more special. I don’t get to spend nearly enough time with my cousins anymore, and getting to laugh, eat, explore, and just be together again felt like the kind of memory you don’t realize you needed until you’re right in the middle of it.
It was also the first cruise for several people in our group, and I kept thinking, “Well, this is going to ruin them in the best possible way.”
And Shelby? Shelby became family on this cruise. She is now stuck with me for life. I do not make the rules.
Oh, and because the cruise gods were clearly showing off, I also got to meet Rob Floyd, the mixologist for Princess Cruises. My husband and I have been fans of his curated cocktails for years because they are all about quality over quantity, and honestly, that is one of the reasons we love sailing with Princess.
The ship was beautiful. The drinks were fabulous. But the people? That was the magic. That server, his name is Raymond (also the name on my mom's father), he gave her the most epic birthday song performance. Hey Princess - give him a bonus!
Have you taken a cruise before, or are we still needing to fix that?

Where was I?
Let’s investigate. And by investigate, I mean stare at cruise pictures and pretend we are being productive. 🚢☀️
Your clues:
• Ocean views
• Endless sunshine
• Drinks by the pool
• Entertainment every night
• Zero dishes
• No one asking me what’s for dinner
If you guessed a cruise, you are correct.
But not just any cruise. I was on Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas, and let me tell you… she understood the assignment.
This is why I love cruising. Everything is right there. Food, drinks, shows, pool time, ocean views, and that magical little moment when you realize you unpacked once and your hotel is casually taking you somewhere new.
No rental car. No “where should we eat?” group debate. No vacation spreadsheet holding everyone together by a thread (but I do love spreadsheets)
Just show up, get on the ship, and let the floating resort do her thing.
So if you had to pick right now, what’s your vacation style?

Okay friend, pull up a chair — I found one. ⚓
A last-minute summer escape on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas, August 3–7, 2026, under $1,500 (that’s total for two people), on a really cool ship and $50 in onboard credit. I had to read it twice too.
Here’s the thing about Quantum — she doesn’t do “meh.” We’re talking a surf simulator, laser tag, BUMPER CARS, giant chess on deck, steakhouse + sushi + Italian, original productions, live bands, and sunsets in Catalina + Ensenada that look fake but absolutely are not. It’s the kind of trip where the kids come home tan and tired and you come home actually rested. ✨
Summer’s almost here and the good cabins go like concert tickets — fast and without warning. If this little four-night escape is whispering your name, don’t make it ask twice.

Heading on a Royal Caribbean cruise? Let’s pack like people who enjoy peace, convenience, and not digging through a suitcase like we’re searching for buried treasure. 🚢

These are the small but mighty cruise must-haves I’d throw in your bag:

• Sunnies
• Magnetic hooks
• Lanyard for your SeaPass card
• Portable charger
• Over-the-door organizer
• Wrinkle release spray
• Reef-safe sunscreen
• Small first-aid/medicine kit
• Reusable water bottle
• Zip-top bags
• Lightweight sweater

Will your cruise be ruined without them? No.

Will you feel wildly more prepared and slightly smug when you have exactly what you need? Absolutely.

SAVE this for your next Royal Caribbean cruise, and tell me: what’s one thing you always pack that deserves a spot on this list?

If you could plan your dream vacation with zero “but what about the budget?” energy… what are we booking? 👀✈️
Are we talking:
• Overwater bungalow where the biggest decision is swim or nap?
• VIP theme park day where lines simply do not exist in your personal economy?
• Luxury cruise suite with balcony coffee and main character sunsets?
• All-inclusive beachfront resort where someone keeps bringing snacks and I do not ask questions?
Because sometimes it is good for the soul to dream bigger than “maybe we’ll just drive somewhere.”
The unforgettable trip.
The bucket list trip.
The “I cannot believe this is my real life” trip.
So tell me… what’s your dream vacation? I want details. The dreamy, ridiculous, money-is-fake version.

Think it’s too late to plan a summer trip?

Respectfully… absolutely not. 😎

Last-minute does not have to mean “leftover vacation scraps and questionable life choices.”

Example:

Travellers Beach Resort
Negril, Jamaica, near Seven Mile Beach
4 nights in July
De Luxe Queen room
Family of 4

Total: $1,250 USD

And yes, we are talking about Jamaica. In July. Near a top-rated beach. At a resort families actually love.

So if your summer calendar is looking a little too “laundry and grocery pickup” and not enough “toes in the sand with a cold drink,” there is still hope.

You just need someone who knows where to look.

Want me to check availability for your family? Send me a message and let’s see what kind of summer magic we can still pull off. 🌴✈️

Traveling Sidekick as a part of Cedar Travel Co. presents: your sign to stop talking about the trip and actually book the trip. 🚢✨

A Royal Escape is calling, and she is not being subtle.

If you’ve been dreaming about:
- Beautiful destinations
- Food you don’t have to cook
- Entertainment that keeps everyone happy
- Adventure when you want it
- Relaxation when you desperately need it
This is your moment.

Family trip? Couples getaway? Friend group escape? There is a cruise that fits the vibe, the budget, and the “I need something to look forward to before I lose my mind” energy.

And since it’s International Day of Families, let’s be honest: memories do not make themselves. Somebody has to say, “We’re doing this.”

Let that somebody be you.

Ready to set sail? Check the link in my bio, fill out the trip request form, and I’ll be in touch. Your Royal Escape era starts now.

I didn’t become a travel advisor just to book trips.

I became one because I genuinely love helping families make the memories, skip the stress, and avoid the “wait, did we just spend how much and still miss the best stuff?” moments.

And sometimes, if the Disney stars align, I actually get to see my clients while they’re there, which is basically my Super Bowl.

This picture is me with my friend Lindsey, and getting to hug her in the middle of the magic was the best. Because yes, I can plan the trip, book the details, answer the questions, and help keep the chaos to a minimum, but seeing people I care about actually living the trip?

That’s the good stuff.

The castle is cute. The snacks are elite. But the people? That’s the whole point.

Have you ever worked with a travel advisor before, or are you still raw-dogging vacation planning like it’s a competitive sport?
