Crete Carrier Corporation Crete Carrier Corporation includes Crete Carrier, Shaffer Trucking, and Hunt Transportation. Department of Transportation.

Our customers are among the best-known names in America, building a solid foundation for our drivers and support teams. For more than 50 years, Crete has operated as a truckload carrier for countless products. Crete drivers are among the best, exceeding standards required by the U.S. A Leading Pay Plus Carrier with an industry leading benefits package that includes health, life, dental, vision, 401(k), and a profit sharing program—which contributed $18 million in 2022—ensures that when the company does well, so do drivers. In 2012, Crete Carrier founded the Patriot Fleet, a specialized fleet of trucks that aim to honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The Patriot Fleet originally debuted with five trucks, but Crete continues to honor America’s heroes. Crete Carrier exercises mutual respect with drivers by providing updated equipment—an average age of two years—and dedicated dispatchers. Crete also demonstrates driver appreciation through driver referral bonuses, monthly and annual driving awards, and an entire month of recognition with giveaways and free weekly meals. Crete is a family company that strives to build meaningful relationships with drivers. Even in today’s uncertain economy, Crete Carrier continues to prove itself as a credible employer. Crete remains a debt-free company, meaning paychecks will always be good, and drivers stay with Crete three times longer than the competition. The company offers drivers National, Regional, and Home Weekly options. As always, at Crete Carrier, there are no shortcuts.

We're honored to be named the Mars Petcare 2025 Network Carrier of the Year. We successfully hauled more than 15,000 shipments for Mars Petcare in 2025. Mary Rolf, Director of Customer Service and planning says it takes a daily commitment at all levels of the company to meet the complex needs of this longtime partner. "Achievements like this do not happen by accident. They are earned through thousands of daily decisions and actions made by employees across our organization." Congratulations, and thank you to all who helped earn this recognition!
