Job Title: Driver / Dispatcher
Location: North Smithfield, RI (Onsite, Mon – Fri, 7am – 4pm, with weekend hours as needed for emergency deliveries)

Position Overview:
MI-BOX of Rhode Island, a locally owned and growing mobile storage solutions company, is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Driver / Dispatcher to join our team in North Smithfield, RI. This role combines delivery driving, dispatch coordination, and administrative support to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent customer service.

Core Responsibilities:
• Safely deliver and pick up MI-BOX mobile storage containers using company MI-BOX vehicle (no CDL required)
• Perform daily MI-BOX mobile storage container and MI-BOX vehicle inspections and report issues
• Maintain clean MI-BOX mobile storage containers and MI-BOX vehicle
• Ensure DOT and company safety compliance
• Interact professionally with customers, providing top-tier service
• Answer phone calls and assist customers with scheduling, inquiries, and requests
• Dispatch delivery and pick up of MI-BOX mobile storage containers
• Perform general office tasks such as filing, data entry, proofreading documents, and maintaining records
• Coordinate appointments, manage daily schedules, and support inventory operations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth, efficient workflows
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with company policies

Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience driving a box truck or equivalent vehicle
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Certificate
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
• Comfortable with moderate physical activity
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Honest, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Forklift experience a plus (training available)
