Dear Friends,

While some of you may not have known, our Midwest Reading Retreat owner is a Chemist/Data Analyst by day and a book connoisseur by night. Beginning this business has been such a treat for her! She has made many bookish friends and participated in the most divine, reader-centric getaways. She hopes that you have also found a home in this community and are looking forward to attending future retreats.

Midwest Reading Retreat will continue to curate events for bibliophiles and is looking at creative writing workshops as well. Currently, however, the team at MRR needs a break. The summer of 2026 has been fully “booked” for the MRR family.

Don’t fret though – they will return!

From the moment we walked in, the team at The Recipe 🔪 curated an astounding evening! Every detail was taken care of. We loved the Juneteenth inspired menu, custom cocktail/mocktail option, and discussions. This experience was next level.
