Did you know bigger cruise ships often feel less crowded than smaller ships? 🚢

It sounds backwards… but newer ships are designed with better crowd flow, more dining venues, more entertainment spaces, and more places for guests to spread out throughout the day.

Meanwhile, smaller ships can sometimes funnel everyone into the same pool deck, buffet, or theater all at once.

This is why two cruises at similar price points can feel completely different once you’re onboard.

Cruise line personality and ship design matter far more than most travelers realize.

Memorial Day is for honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country — and the families who carry that sacrifice every single day.

If you’ve been considering a Norwegian cruise for 2026, this is genuinely a pretty solid time to start looking — especially for Alaska, Caribbean, and Bahamas itineraries.

Right now, many sailings are combining:
• 50% off cruise fares
• onboard credit on select sailings
• NCL’s “Free at Sea” perks like open bar, specialty dining, Wi-Fi, and shore excursion credits
• some sailings even offering kids sail free or reduced airfare promotions

Universal just released new teases for the upcoming Universal Kids Resort in Texas, and it honestly looks incredibly well done already 👀✨

The park is expected to feature immersive areas inspired by:

🟢 Shrek & Puss in Boots
🍌 Minions
🏠 Gabby’s Dollhouse

What stands out most is that this appears to be intentionally designed for younger families — not just scaled-down thrill rides, but interactive experiences, colorful environments, splash areas, character experiences, and attractions that truly fit the age group.

This could end up being a huge addition for families with younger kids who may not quite be ready for the larger Orlando theme park experience yet.

ALASKA CRUISES BY MONTH 🏔️🚢

The “best” month for Alaska really depends on what kind of experience you want 👀

🌸 MAY
Cooler temperatures, snowy mountain views, fewer crowds, and usually some of the better pricing of the season. Alaska still feels quiet and untouched this time of year.

☀️ JUNE
Long daylight hours, active wildlife, and some of the driest weather of the cruise season. June is one of those months that’s hard not to love.

🌞 JULY
Peak Alaska season. Warmer temperatures, incredible whale watching, and nonstop scenery — but also the busiest and most expensive time to cruise.

🍂 AUGUST
Wildlife is EVERYWHERE. Whales, bears, salmon runs… this is an incredible month for nature lovers. Expect greener scenery and a higher chance of rain.

🍁 SEPTEMBER
Smaller crowds, cooler weather, lower pricing, and beautiful moody Alaska scenery. The cloudy, misty days somehow make Alaska feel even more magical.

Honestly, there’s not really a bad month to cruise Alaska — every part of the season gives you a completely different experience 🤍
