When Roberta Greenspan and her DPE returned from her Private Pilot Practical Exam(check ride) their smiles were all we needed to see to confirm she had become a Private Pilot. Way to go Roberta and you had 11 days to spare before turning 76. You are never too old to learn to fly.

A surprise passenger made an appearance in flight. Not as threatening as a wasp but the hopping was a little distracting. Returned safely to the grass once we were back on the ground.

Very honored and excited to have participated in AOPA's teacher workshop this last week. Looking forward to being able to teach aviation to Marco Island Academy in the coming school year.

Couldn’t have explained it better myself. I’ve been personally reading Boldmethod articles since I was a student pilot and I still learn new ways to help be a better pilot and instructor.

Even for an experienced pilot, landing can be tricky.

My flying season in Oregon is nearly over for 2017. Today, Caleb Cheshire passed his Private Pilot check ride. It has been a lot of fun and tremendously rewarding to help this young aviator earn his wings.
