Your silk print came out shiny. It also came out with a stripe of blobs down one side, strings across every gap, and a top surface duller than the rest.

That is not the printer. It is a PLA profile running a material that stopped being plain PLA the moment the additives went in.

Carbon-fiber filament looks like the strongest stuff on the shelf, so people grab it expecting superpowers. The truth is more specific.
It's not solid carbon. It's normal PLA, PETG, nylon, or PC with tiny chopped carbon fibers mixed in. What those fibers actually add is stiffness and dimensional stability: the part resists bending and holds its exact shape, even under heat or load. What they don't add is raw strength; a CF part can even be a bit more brittle. Great for a rigid bracket or drone frame; not a good choice for anything that needs to flex.
One non-negotiable: carbon fiber is abrasive. Run it through a brass nozzle, and it grinds the opening wider in a spool or two. You need a hardened steel nozzle.
