Oh hey. Sadly, this is one of the best selfies I took on our Maui vacay in March 🏝️

I’m not here to be a content creator. Making an impressive feed of carefully curated shots to impress you into hiring me as your TA just isn’t in my skill set. And no shade to the beautiful content some people create - I scroll that shizz & feel the “gah I want to be there” - it works!!

But it wouldn’t be authentic LK. When you hire me, it’s my job to curate YOUR perfect vacay. If gorgeous spots for pics are part of your plans, AWESOME; I know some pretty great photo spots. But when my family is on vacation (and even when I’m living “real life”), it’s messy & chaotic. My wife & I have 2 kids - 6 & 8 - and sitting still for pics isn’t a skill we’ve mastered yet. I have a crooked smile & terrible hair & I laugh so big, it looks like I might eat the camera. I don’t think THAT’s why people want to work with me 😬 🐴 😂 I’m in the business of relationships & making memories - 2 things I feel like I can proudly say I’m good at ☺️

That’s my “hire me y’all & let’s send you on an amazing adventure”. How am I doing? 🫣

Maui did NOT disappoint. Shave Ice the size of our heads & Dole Whip (yep, THAT Dole Whip 🍍) with all the fixin’s.

The fresh lilikoi jelly would have been great with nothing but a spoon 😂

Anyone else all about the local food offerings when planning a trip?? 🍣 🍧 🍍

Listen, I’m not saying I’m never going back to Disney - and I’m certainly not saying I won’t help you plan your vacays there. I’m just saying, I might have ANOTHER favorite place that I’m working on specializing in & I’m stoked 🌴 🐠 🌺

So if you’re considering a trip to Hawaii, I’d love to chat. And I’m sure my Disney friends know this already - but there’s even a little Mickey on Oahu if you really need your fix 😅

It’s nice to see I’m consistent in some things 😻

We’re a week and a half into January (despite it feeling like I’ve aged maybe 15 years in the last 14 days 😅). It’s chilly here in Portland & most days are grey AF. 🌧️

It’s usually around this time that I start thinking “February is an excellent time of year to get out of town & find the sun!” 🏝️

My wife & I have differing opinions on taking the kids out of school - so tell me;

Are you team:

“they learn plenty on family vacations!”
Or
“Vacations should be for school holidays or summer break!”
