Updating the HVAC system in a building dating back to 1936 came with some unique challenges at Will Rogers Memorial Center Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
The existing structure had limited capacity for additional weight, while the historic architecture left very little room for major modifications. Prihoda worked closely with the engineers, architects, and historic preservation team to develop a lightweight fabric duct solution that could fit between the roof trusses and follow the curved shape of the arena dome.
In total, 462 meters of fabric ducting were installed to distribute air across both the arena floor and spectator areas while preserving the character of this historic venue. 🏟️
