If you have kids under 12… Disneyland California deserves a spot on your family travel list ❤️🏰

Here’s why:

✨ There’s something special about being in the original park. This is the one that started it all and the only Disney park that Walt Disney actually walked through.

🎢 The number of attractions with no height requirement is a game changer when traveling with younger kids. Less measuring. Less disappointment. More riding together.

🚶‍♀️ The convenience is unmatched. You can walk from Disneyland Park to Disney California Adventure in less than 2 minutes (yes… I timed it 😂). No buses. No monorails. No huge transportation plan.

👑 Character interactions are SO good here. You’ll find lots of characters out and about throughout the day and many times you can interact without standing in lines or scheduling your day around a meet and greet.

🏨 Great hotel options too. Stay on property or choose from one of the many nearby hotels that are an easy walk to the parks.

☀️ And California weather makes this a great destination year round.

Disneyland just unlocked a whole new level of Star Wars magic ✨🚀

One minute you’re stepping aboard the most iconic ship in the galaxy… the next you’re completely immersed in the action alongside familiar Mandalorian moments that had our entire crew cheering.

And somehow, seeing Han Solo and Princess Leia made it even more emotional ❤️

That’s what Disney does so well — it connects generations.

Parents relive the characters they grew up loving while their kids fall in love with an entirely new era of Star Wars. Watching families experience that together inside Galaxy’s Edge is honestly one of those core memory moments.

If you have Star Wars fans in your family, this is absolutely the time to visit Disneyland. Between the updated Smugglers Run experience, the atmosphere in Batuu, the characters wandering the land, and the way the parks come alive at night… it feels like stepping into the movies.

From the moment you walk in, the hotel feels playful, colorful, and full of heart. The different tower views each bring their own charm, and throughout the resort you’ll spot touches from beloved films like Cars, Finding Nemo, Inside Out, Coco, Toy Story, and The Incredibles. It’s immersive without feeling overwhelming — perfect for families with younger kids who still light up when they spot a familiar character.

And the pool deck? SO much fun for families under 12 💦
The rooftop pool area feels like a mini vacation inside your vacation, complete with:

The hotel also has its own dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure for resort guests, which can save families both time and energy during busy mornings.

But honestly? The best part is the feeling.

With average daily temperatures of 82 degrees, more sunny days than any other Caribbean destination, and a location outside the hurricane belt, it’s the kind of trip families can truly relax and look forward to.
