And just like that, market season has come to a close! 🛍️🎄This has been my most successful market season yet and I’m feeling super grateful for all the new people I was able to meet at each market (hello to some of you who ended up following me here!! You know who you are 🫶🏼), the connections made with other business owners, and to hear people get excited about my art was just the icing on the cake.

I’m feeling super excited about the momentum my company has right now, and I’m really excited to bring that into the new year! 2026 feels huge for my company and I’m gonna do everything I can to match that feeling by putting in the work. 💪🏼

Expect to see me at many more markets this next year and hopefully in some retailers too! If you have recommendations for markets I should do in 2026, please send them my way!

Again, the deepest gratitude for every single person who has supported my company and my art in any way this year. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I had the idea for this calendar about 3 years ago, but as I was crowd sourcing the concept I got talked out of it with how “weird” it was. 😂 So I played it safe and created my Mushroom calendar instead that year. Which was so fun and I love that calendar so much too…but I couldn’t shake the insect concept. (The mushroom calendar has also been reprinted for 2026 and is available on my site for those mushroom lovers!)

After a season living with who is equally obsessed with bugs and spending 6 hours chatting in the kitchen about bugs—it fully reignited my craving to create this calendar.

That craving was pushed a bit further when I experienced a butterfly hatch of California Tortoiseshell Butterflies while hiking this July. I was fully enamored having them flutter right next to me along my 9 mile hike and may have even shed a few tears about the beautiful experience. 🥹 I felt like a real-life Disney princess. That was it. I officially decided to Illustrate an insect calendar!
