Global Shipping Services NJ office successfully managed the transport of an Aluminum Extrusion Press Line System totaling 1,040,948 kgs, moved from Houston POD to Arkansas.
The cargo was broken down into multiple components, including several critical heavy-lift pieces that arrived via RoRo into Freeport.
Some of the key units included:
1. 465 x 441 x 197 cm @ 82,276 kgs
2. 430 x 299 x 310 cm @ 122,852 kgs
3. 460 x 410 x 170 cm @ 126,380 kgs
Additional units ranging from 31,500 kgs to 40,500 kgs, including long components up to 1,201 cm in length.
The heaviest pieces (up to 126 tons) were transported using 150-ton capacity equipment, including 12-axle and 10-axle dolly configurations with dual-lane perimeter deck trailers.
This project required months of planning, including:
• Detailed route surveys for permit approvals across Texas and Arkansas
• Coordination of specialized heavy-haul equipment
• Use of third-party cranes at the terminal to handle the largest pieces
• Close coordination with the delivery site manager to schedule receiving times, prepare the site, and ensure cranes were positioned and ready for offloading
In addition to the breakbulk/RoRo cargo, the shipment also included 51 x 40’ Open Top containers, all delivered successfully within free time.
Overall, this was a highly complex and well-executed project, demonstrating our capabilities in handling large-scale, heavy-lift, and project cargo logistics.
Great job Bryan Faundez 👏👏👏
