To file a discrimination complaint, the written complaint must be filed to the address above within 7 days of the alleged discrimination. To accommodate limited English proficient individuals, oral complaints to be documented and/or translated may also be given at the above address. Department of Transportation/Federal Transit Administration (FTA) no later than 180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination, unless the time for filing is extended by FTA. Applies to all vehicles, bus stops & buildings
Pay the correct fare when boarding Respect others at all times
No profane or vulgar language on MCTA property
Do not defecate, urinate or release other body fluids on the bus
Radio, cassette, CD, music player with headphones only with the volume level so that others can't hear it
Do not abuse, threaten or attack other passengers or the bus operator
Do not board bus under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Do not engage in lewd or offensive conduct or indecent exposure
Do not place anything on the floor that may roll or move when unattended
Properly controlled "service animals" accompanying disabled persons are the only animals permitted
Be polite, leave the front seat available for senior citizens and disabled people
Prohibited items include, but not limited to: Guns, Hazardous Materials, Explosives, Knives, and Dangerous Liquids
Reduced Fare Passengers must present required identification upon boarding, or pay the full fare
No smoking, drinking or eating in MCTA vehicles
All passengers must respect the comfort of others sensitive to fragrances and consider a "scent free" environment
All passengers are required to abide by applicable safety belt regulations
Please remain seated until the bus comes to a complete halt
All passengers must be fully clothed, including shirts and shoes.
*Violations will be reported to the local authorities for disposition. Buses are equipped with audio/video recording devices. Violators forfeit any unused portion of pass, ticket or cash fee. Carry-On Packages:

Q. Can I pay the driver after I get my check cashed? No, you must pay when you enter the MCTA vehicle

Q. What would it take to get kicked off the bus? MCTA will deny transportation for the following reasons (but not limited to): for behavior that interferes with other passengers or driver, refusal to pay for service, repeated failure to provide adequate notice of cancellation or no-shows, refusal to follow rules for riding the bus. What about hazardous road conditions? During inclement weather conditions, MCTA will cancel service or operate on a limited basis. MCTA will resume services on roads that are priority for snow removal and will resume regular service when all roads are clear and safe for travel. Please check local WPSD-TV and Froggy radio station for updates. What is the latest I can call to get a pick up? A. 4:30 p.m. - Our drivers need to be finished by 5:00 p.m.
