Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to present at Council Member Vo's District 17 Town Hall meeting about transportation planning for Nashville’s newest music venue, The Truth.

We’re excited to partner with neighborhood residents, local businesses, the venue team, and the developer to create safe, convenient, and sustainable ways for guests to get to and from the venue. Today, Mayor Freddie O’Connell announced the hiring of Ryan Lynch as the next Director of the Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT). Lynch currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and has a proven track record of delivering large-scale transportation projects in America’s biggest city.

Lynch will officially begin in the role on August 31.

“I can’t thank Mayor O’Connell enough for giving me this opportunity to lead Nashville’s Department of Transportation at a time of unprecedented change and growth for the city and county,” said Lynch. “Nashvillians are demanding safer streets and smoother commutes for everyone, and I can’t wait to get to work turning this into reality by building and delivering projects that improve peoples’ lives and support economic growth. I’m extremely grateful to Interim Director Jones and his team for providing steady leadership and a strong foundation for us to continue this momentum.”
