🚛 BIG CARRIERS VS. SMALL CARRIERS — WHO REALLY HAS YOUR BACK?

Every trucking company talks about family, loyalty, respect, and putting drivers first. But what happens when YOU become inconvenient?

When your truck breaks down 1,500 miles from home, you have a family emergency, question your paycheck, or refuse an unsafe load — are you still family, or just another truck number?

We've seen small carriers treat drivers like gold and others promise the world like a used-car salesman from the 1970s! And mega-carriers? Some provide stability and benefits, while others leave drivers wondering where that promised loyalty went.

Today, Big Rig Nation is turning the microphone over to YOU!

We're not here to condemn every big carrier or praise every small fleet. We want the truth from the drivers who've lived it.

Good companies deserve recognition. Bad business practices deserve scrutiny.

🚨 AI IS CHANGING AMERICA — BUT WHO'S GOING TO PAY THE PRICE?

Are we raising a generation of children who won't know how to think for themselves without artificial intelligence?

Research from the RAND Corporation found that 62% of surveyed students used AI for homework, while 67% believed increased AI use could harm critical thinking.

Meanwhile, AI is already changing American workplaces, and trucking is next in line for major changes.

We're being told AI will make trucking companies smarter, more efficient, and more profitable.

But will professional drivers see better wages, or will companies use technology to cut labor costs and eliminate jobs?

And what happens when autonomous trucks no longer need someone behind the wheel?

Special thanks to Jon Stewart and The Daily Show for helping spark this conversation.

We're not against innovation. We're against leaving hardworking Americans behind.

🎙️ BIG RIG NATION SUNDAY — LET IT RIP

Drivers First, Always.

Who gets the jobs when AI starts reshaping trucking? In this Big Rig Nation video, we look at promises about automation, abundance, and the future of work—and ask what they mean for the people moving America’s freight.

Adapted from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, “Jon Stewart Takes on AI CEO’s Lofty Promises.” Big Rig Nation removed all of Jon Stewart’s commentary, retained selected clips from the original broadcast, and added our own trucking-focused narration. This independent edit is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Daily Show.

The spa scene is a humorous way to pose a serious question: who gets the opportunities, who carries the risk, and will drivers have a real voice in the decisions? Watch, tell us what you think, and tag a driver who should join the conversation. Drivers First Always

🚨 TRUCK DRIVERS, NOW IT'S TIME TO FOLLOW THE MONEY! 💰🚛

I've been giving trucking associations HELL lately. But what if they're doing exactly what they're supposed to do?

PROTECTING THEIR MEMBERS!

The question is, WHO ARE THEIR MEMBERS?

We investigated five trucking associations and their latest reported annual revenue:

💰 ATA — $48.1 MILLION

💰 Truckload Carriers Association — $7.26 MILLION

💰 Women In Trucking — $3.69 MILLION

💰 Texas Trucking Association — $3.37 MILLION

💰 OOIDA — $2.57 MILLION

The other FOUR combined? Approximately $16.9 MILLION!

ATA alone? $48.1 MILLION!

That's nearly THREE TIMES AS MUCH!

These are total revenue figures, not lobbying expenditures, and the reporting periods differ.

Now consider the millions spent lobbying Washington, the growing involvement of autonomous trucking, and the decisions affecting professional drivers.

WHO IS ACTUALLY REPRESENTING THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE WHEEL?

We respect the battles OOIDA has fought. But professional drivers need a stronger, UNITED voice across every segment of this industry!

And maybe POTA — THE PI**ED OFF TRUCKING ASSOCIATION — isn't such a crazy idea after all!

One driver. One vote. Transparent finances. Leadership accountable to drivers.

POTA is an idea we're exploring, not an established association.

Everybody gets a voice. Nobody gets a free pass.

🚛 SOMETHING SMELLS AROUND HERE! AND WE'VE GOT QUESTIONS!

In 2011, the American Trucking Associations announced that its membership supported mandatory electronic logging devices.

But WHO made that decision? Was there a vote? A survey? And most importantly, DID ANYBODY ASK THE WORKING TRUCK DRIVER?

FMCSA projected that ELDs would save lives. Yet years later, researchers are still examining whether those promised safety improvements materialized.

NOW FOLLOW THE MONEY!

In 2018, TravelCenters of America reported a 51.2% increase in parking-reservation revenue compared with the previous year. Management also connected increased parking demand to ELD enforcement.

We're not claiming TA pushed the mandate. We're asking why drivers are sometimes paying just to find a safe place to shut down!

The parking shortage existed long before ELDs. So why wasn't adequate parking addressed before enforcement began?

And where were the associations representing working drivers?

Folks, this is bigger than ELDs. It's about who makes decisions, who benefits, and whose voices are heard.

Company drivers, owner-operators, and independent carriers — WE HAVE TO START WORKING TOGETHER!

Because if we don't start asking questions, decisions will keep being made without meaningful driver input.

Everybody gets a voice. Nobody gets a free pass.

🚨 POTA — THE PI**ED OFF TRUCKING ASSOCIATION! 🚛

WHO REALLY CONTROLS AMERICA'S TRUCKING ASSOCIATIONS?

Big Rig Nation has been investigating 102 trucking organizations, taking a deeper look at the 20 with the highest reported revenues.

We've examined financial records, board memberships, voting rights, and actual policy decisions involving Congress and federal regulators.

And what we're finding raises some serious questions.

I'm beginning to question whether corporate interests have gained too much control over these organizations.

That's my personal opinion, not a final conclusion. But quite frankly, I don't like where the evidence appears to be leading.

We're going to keep digging, asking questions, and showing you the evidence.

Because America's professional truck drivers deserve to know who's making decisions that affect their livelihoods!

Everybody gets a voice. Nobody gets a free pass.

🚨 LEASING INDUSTRY → FMCSA → LEASING INDUSTRY AGAIN… ALL IN TWO YEARS?! 🚛🇺🇸

Ryan Snyder went from TRALA to a senior position at FMCSA, then right back to TRALA in October 2026.

Meanwhile, nearly two years after a federal task force recommended banning commercial truck lease-purchase agreements, drivers are still waiting for a nationwide ban.

Is this how Washington's revolving door works? We're following the records and asking questions about industry influence, government ethics, and who's representing America's truck drivers.

EVERYBODY GETS A VOICE. NOBODY GETS A FREE PASS.

🚨 ARE CORPORATE INTERESTS SPEAKING THROUGH AMERICA'S TRUCK DRIVERS?

Who's selecting, training, and preparing the people speaking to Congress about trucking policy? And whose interests are they really representing?

Big Rig Nation is taking its investigation deeper.

We've followed the money. We've followed the access. Now we're following THE PEOPLE.

Are drivers being empowered to speak independently, or are their stories being used to advance corporate agendas?

We're not making accusations. We're asking questions and following the evidence.

We're sending formal questions to those involved and giving them five business days to respond before publishing further findings.

Everyone deserves a fair opportunity to respond. And America's truck drivers deserve answers.

BIG RIG NATION — DRIVERS FIRST. ALWAYS.

FROM YOUR COMPANY TO CONGRESS

Who is actually representing America's truck drivers in Washington?

We're examining ATA Women In Motion's own published material showing a “group coaching session,” “Advocacy 101,” and a presentation titled “From Your Company to Congress.”

Now we're asking: Who gets selected? Who do they work for? How many are actually working professional drivers? And whose interests are they advocating for when they sit down with policymakers?

Today, Big Rig Nation is sending questions to the organizations and individuals involved, giving everyone an opportunity to tell their side of the story.
We're not starting with a conclusion. We're following the evidence wherever it leads.

Drivers First. Always.
