Important Route 29 Traffic Update! 🚧

Beginning September 7, Route 29 will be reduced to one lane from Cantrall Creek Rd./Andrew Rd. (Bud’s Corner) north to Barr Elevator/the railroad tracks outside Athens.

This stretch sees a lot of traffic, especially around school arrival and dismissal times. Please plan for possible delays and allow some extra travel time as construction gets underway.

Hey! We recognize that truck!

Did you know Sherman has pickleball courts coming soon? How exciting!

EXCITING! What started as dirt and plans on paper is quickly becoming 8 brand-new pickleball courts for our community.

There’s still work to be done, but today was a pretty exciting step toward the finish line. We can’t wait to see these courts filled with players, families, friends and maybe a little friendly Sherman competition. �

As our business continues to grow, we are making some changes behind the scenes to help things run more smoothly.

For the last 5 years, Justin has been taking calls, answering messages, scheduling jobs, and dispatching employees all while on the job himself. We’re working on transitioning to a more organized secretarial system. This allows calls and customer communication to happen behind the scenes while Justin and employees focus on safe and efficient work.

We are looking to add a class A or B CDL driver to our business. This is a seasonal truck driving position for a dump truck. Work is local to the Springfield, IL area. Experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements:
• Must be able to drive a manual truck
• Reliable, timely, and respectful
• Must possess a class A or B CDL license
• Must be able to pass a drug test

Work includes hauling various materials such as rock, dirt, concrete, asphalt, etc. Manual labor is required as needed.
