Tucked into the streets of Amsterdam, Popeye Coffee shop is one of those spots you stumble into and instantly feel the vibe. So we stopped in.

One minute you’re walking through historic streets, and the next you’re standing in front of a shop completely dedicated to rubber ducks in every version you can imagine.

Astronaut ducks, chef ducks, tourist ducks… even tiny Dutch clog ducks.

It’s playful, random, and so unapologetically fun… just another reminder that Amsterdam doesn’t take itself too seriously. 🇳🇱

Crossing the street in Amsterdam is a full experience in itself. 🚲

Between cars, trams, and what feels like a constant stream of bikes, you don’t just walk across, you negotiate your moment.

You learn quickly to look left, right… and then left again, because the bikes don’t stop for hesitation.

It’s a bit chaotic but in the best way.🇳🇱✨

Day 2x🌷Amsterdam

Although this was technically a “Power Trip” (4 days or less, not including travel), it honestly felt like eight.

In Amsterdam this time of year, the sun doesn’t set until around 8:45 PM—giving you over 14 hours of daylight. It completely changes how you experience the city.

We’d split our days into phases: morning adventures, a midday reset (usually a 2–3 hour nap), then head back out in the evening feeling recharged.

By 6 PM, we were out again—wandering with no real plan, just taking in the architecture and discovering the coolest, most unique little shops.

It felt like living two days in one… every single day.✨

It’s STILL only day 2! 🤩😁

By 3 PM we were back for a two hour power nap, then headed back out around 5:30 PM to explore more of the city before sunset around 9.

Before heading up to our room, I roamed around the hotel a bit. I loved this little foot pedal contraption. And I was surprised to find dedicated community working space upstairs.
