Shout out to as one of the few remaining local family owned large bourbon distilleries in the U.S.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the warehouses and the knowledgeable staff at the distillery! Of course, a few pours along the way didn't hurt the experience!

One of the best parting gifts we've received on a distillery tour is the lanyard that holds a tasting glass nicely. We will be breaking that out for festivals!

Who goes on a cruise and takes not one... but four wine tasting classes offered on the ship? Obviously, the answer is US!

We take every opportunity to learn all we can (and taste as much as we can) even on vacation! An added bonus is the onboard sommelier knows our preferences by the end of the week.

We can definitely recommend this approach.

Shout out to for the excellent opportunity and knowledgeable staff (and a fantastic wine bar on every ship)...

I asked the bartender for a good bourbon and she asked if I had tried "poor man's Pappy". Turned out that was and the quest was on!
Tonight I celebrated a return with another great pour!
Always worth hitting up local businesses!

What's cooler than sipping cocktails in an authentic former sound recording studio? Not much!

is a historic building in the heart of the Gulch. Surrounded by glass and steel skyscrapers, this intimate spot with 1960s flair is perfect for a date night or to say hello to some visiting classic rockers (yes, we did...).

The cocktails are fantastic too! It's but worth seeking out.

Yes it's , but it's also ... a celebration of a Portuguese wine variety that almost went extinct except for a few brave winemakers who saved these noble vines!

For our first visit to , we chose not to run all over this big city chasing the "best" cocktails.

Instead, we focused on what we do... finding the local spots! We stayed mostly in the 5th Arrondisment, known as the Latin Quarter, and found creative cocktails, wonderful wine, caviar, oysters, and all the food!

Link to all the details in the first comment.

So you know the California wine regions of and ... but how about ?

This wine valley in Santa Barbara County has some amazing products worth exploring!

This week we were honored to be part of an exploration of Peake Ranch wines with partner Eric Grant thanks to our friends at Merchants Wine & Spirits and The Oak Room by Abridged!

We may have bought a few bottles :)

Why do we love attending wine/beer/spirits festivals?

Yes, tasting so many great products in one room for one price...

But mostly it's the PEOPLE we meet and the stories they share!

did not disappoint! More than 20 distilleries from around the country led to some fun nuggets of info to share:

Country star has his own brand ... coming to his museum in downtown this summer! It's very tasty!

And did you know pro wrestling legend has his own whiskey too? Also very tasty!

We always meet so many wonderful people who are proud of their products!

🥃 Spoiler: Some of our best cocktails in Paris were at a tiny spot near Notre Dame — Baba Yaga. The bartender made the best Old Fashioned of the whole trip.
