Today, I get to live surrounded by my amazing family and my daughter, who inspires me every single day. Travel and nature have always held a special place in my heart. You know, Dublin has a really interesting story.
Over a thousand years ago, Vikings sailed up the river and found a dark, still pool of water. They called it Dubh Linn, the black pool. And that's how Dublin got its name.
Then, in 1759, a man named Arthur Guinness signed a lease on a brewery for 9,000 years. Nine thousand! I guess he really believed in his b**r. 🍺
Not far from there, in an old library, there's a book that monks painted by hand around 800 AD. It's still there, more than a thousand years later. 📖
And the little Ha'penny Bridge? People used to pay a halfpenny just to walk across it. 🌉
That's Dublin: a city where history isn't in the past, you can still walk right throug it
