This young got his very first pair of shoes today!! 🐴✨️ He was very brave with all of the hammering and really thought the forging at the anvil was the true scary bit.

New to me, we've decided to give this sweet gelding his first pair of shoes to help support him through some seedy toe.

With his toe off loaded/floated, he can now enjoy redistributed weight via his shoes, as his people treat his toes; all the while growing all that compromised keratin out. ❤️‍🩹

Every day, I wake up more grateful than the last. 🐴❤️✨️

I've been out with an injury for the last couple of days. I was helping a rescue horse get comfortable after years of not seeing the farrier. Her situation pulled at my heart strings - so I was ready to get her sorted as soon as her owners got me up to speed.

As I helped said senior pony keep her balance - she unintentionally pulled something in my back to a significant degree. I push through quite a bit, but when something is up in any sort of relation to my spine - I am especially careful.

Thanks to you wonderful people for seeing the person behind the service, I have been able to offer myself that same compassion I try my best to provide for the horses I care for day in and day out.

After this weekend, I will be right back to it!🎉

These are the sorts of moments that go unnoticed by the vast majority of folks, but I wanted to be sure to share just how much I appreciate all of you - even if your schedules weren't impacted by this particular adventure!

Cannot wait to see everyone and their horses soon! 🥳🎉
