Submitted this right whale watercolor to the Massachusetts Environmental Trust Call To Artists on the 1st. Super exciting to submit to a call like that.

Right whales are a little out of my wheel house. helped me so much! My version turned out a little bit more interpretive than hers, the water is more abstract for sure.

I feel like I learned so much on this painting. I love all the colors, with Prussian Blue and Neutral Tint doing most of the heavy lifting. Winsor green steals the show, in my opinion (that mint color).

I love the stripes, and the purple pops nicely against the lemons. The key bowl is meant to show a sort of pearly luminous material. I tried to also contrast the stone with the leaves and greenery.

Not sure who has lemons on a side table, but ya know... It could be stranger, I'm sure!

I'm hoping to get experience teaching people how to paint this coffee cup using watercolor.

My friends and family have generously volunteered to try out the experience. I'm putting together a video tutorial, and a worksheet with steps.

I'm excited to share the experience of watercolor with others. Hopefully if I can get my tutorial skills on pointe I can do some remote or in-person classes!

⭐☃️🌲It's not too soon to start Christmas decorating, right?🌲☃️⭐

Lately I've been loving working on complex compositions with my amazing teacher and doing more loose work on my own.

I wanted this picture to evoke soft, fluffy fur with that blendy, softness that watercolor can create.

Christmas also has the minty green, cherry red and gingery brown colors that make my heart happy.

Super cool spooky scene I thought I would pop out October 1st but ... Maybe it stays out all year? I have a little bit left to do but I'm already thinking of a winter companion piece!

This costume is so frivolous and over the top you basically have to smile. I think this might be a fun piece of art near a coffee station! Can you imagine an office kitchen with this above the Keurig?

I've been doing a series of dogs in Halloween costumes to brighten up my days.

My only major edit for this costume was the addition of a cinnamon bun tail rather than the loose loopy tail this puggie had in the original photo.
