For my clients currently booked or thinking of booking a Virgin Voyages Alaska sailing for 2027!
An update to Brilliant Lady's 2027 Alaska and Pacific Coastal itineraries.
Virgin Voyages is fine-tuning 16 Brilliant Lady sailings for 2027 to address safety, navigation, and Sailor feedback. Specific ports and scenic routes are changing, ship assignment, voyage length, and core onboard experience are not.
Key changes at a glance:
- Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier replaces Tracy Arm Fjord on 13 sailings, due to continued landslide risk in the Tracy Arm area
- Victoria, BC replaces Prince Rupert on 12 sailings, following direct Sailor feedback — Victoria offers a full day (10:00 AM–6:00 PM) at the Inner Harbour and historic downtown
- Inside Passage cruising now shows as a Sea Day on itineraries rather than a separate line item, the scenery is unchanged, just the labelling
- Select tender port and timing adjustments at Juneau, Sitka, and Icy Strait Point; the August 24 sailing's Victoria departure shifts to 6:00 PM due to local harbor restrictions
- Pacific Coastal sailing (Sep 10): To accommodate Vancouver tidal navigation windows, Astoria is replaced with an extra Sea Day and extended time in San Francisco (until 11:59 PM), along with an automatic $33 USD/person refund for Astoria port taxes and fees
Affected sailings: May 20 · May 27–Aug 5 (11 departures) · Aug 12 · Aug 24 · Sep 2 · Sep 10, 2027
If your have booked Shore Things through Virgin Voyages, those will adjust or refund automatically where impacted. Third-party excursions will need to be managed directly with the tour operator.
