Northern Lights season is starting! 🌌

Late August marks the beginning of aurora season in some of the best viewing destinations in the world!

A few bucket-list worthy spots:

🇮🇸 Iceland: waterfalls, hot springs, glaciers + the Northern Lights
🇳🇴 Northern Norway: dramatic fjords, Arctic villages + incredible aurora viewing
🇫🇮 Finnish Lapland: glass igloos, reindeer + all the winter magic
🇺🇸 Fairbanks, Alaska: one of the best options without leaving the U.S.
🇨🇦 Northern Canada: remote wilderness, dark skies + amazing viewing conditions

And you don’t necessarily have to wait for the dead of winter! September and March can be fantastic times to chase the aurora ✨

✈️ TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY: Always confirm with your hotel before you arrive!

This is something I do for every one of my clients, and here’s why…

✨ I double-check the reservation, dates, and arrival details. Mistakes happen, and the front desk is definitely NOT where we want to find out something got mixed up.

✨ I also reach out as their travel advisor, share any special celebrations or important details, and make sure the hotel knows who they’re welcoming before my clients ever arrive.

Perfect example: Alexandra & Jonathan just arrived in Sorrento after traveling from Rome today. 🇮🇹 Before they arrived, I had already confirmed everything, shared their arrival time, and arranged a little welcome amenity and personal note.

And then I got THIS. Safe to say Jonathan is already living his best life. 🤣🍇🍷

Just one of those little behind-the-scenes things my clients don’t have to think about, because I already did. 🫶

Let’s talk OSAKA! 🇯🇵

Neon-lit streets along the Dotonbori Canal, tiny food stalls serving fresh takoyaki, bustling markets and historic Osaka Castle surrounded by a modern city. 🏯

Osaka is nicknamed “Japan’s Kitchen” for its incredible food and makes a great home base for exploring Kyoto and Nara. Throw in endless shopping and Universal Studios Japan and there’s SO much to experience here. 🍱🎢

I found 8 nights in Osaka with roundtrip flights from OKC and a centrally located hotel for less than $3,000 TOTAL for two people. 🤩

Japan might feel like a BIG bucket-list trip, but it can be more attainable than you think!

I’m not accepting new clients until September 1st, but my waitlist is OPEN! 💗

✨ CLIENT SPOTLIGHT ✨

First of all… HOW FUN are these family photos?! I absolutely love getting to see clients enjoying their adventures! 📷

This sweet family recently returned from Paris and Rome, and the message that came along with these photos was even better.

“We had the most amazing time! The Eiffel Tower and the Colosseum were absolutely magical.”

She also told me she “would not have changed anything” about their tours or itinerary. 🙌

But my favorite part?

“I could not have asked for a better vacation with the people I love.”

Helping families experience incredible places together and come home with memories like these will forever be one of my favorite parts of what I do. Thank you to the Lay family for trusting me to help plan such a memorable family trip! ⭐️

JUST BOOKED 🎉

A double graduation trip for this group of 5! One high school graduation + Mom graduating from LPN school. 🎓

After comparing resorts, destinations and even different departure airports, Dreams Dominicus La Romana ended up being the perfect fit for their wishlist!

🌊 Their #1 priority was a beautiful, calm beach, which led us to the lesser-known Caribbean side of the DR with calmer water and typically less sargassum than the Punta Cana side.

🌴 A laid-back, family-friendly all-inclusive with plenty of pools, dining and entertainment for everyone.

✈️ Driving from Ozark to OKC saved them a few hundred dollars on flights, and we added private roundtrip transfers + travel protection for the trip.

And after all of that? $600 UNDER their original budget! 🙌🏼

Two huge accomplishments and six nights in the Caribbean to celebrate them. I’d say they have a pretty exciting graduation countdown ahead! 🎊

✈️ TRAVEL TIP TUESDAY!

Something you may not think about when a minor is traveling without one or both parents/legal guardians… send a parental consent letter!

Whether they’re traveling with one parent, grandparents, relatives, a friend’s family or another adult, this simple document shows they have permission to travel. ✍️

It’s an added safety precaution for minors and may be requested by airlines, cruise lines or immigration officials.

⭐ Include travel details + parent/guardian contact info, and getting it notarized is always a good idea!

Better to have it and never need it 🤗
