By now we are all aware of the devastation Hurricane Harvey has unleashed on Texas Gulf Coast communities. Thousands of families have been effected and the whole country wants to find ways to help. We’d like to share the story of four of those families and provide the opportunity to directly aid their recovery. This page is organized by friends and loved ones of Keri Strong, whose parents, sister,
niece and aunt were forced out of their homes due to the massive flooding Orange, Texas. They lived side-by-side on the same street and helped each other to safely escape the storm. Now we’re here to offer love and support to these families and organize efforts to help them COME BACK STONG.
• Keri’s parents, Sammy and Loretta Strong’s 53rd wedding anniversary came and went during the chaos of the storm. The house they shared all those years in was completely flooded, and at this time we do not know the full extent of the damage. Sammy and Loretta are both retired.
• Keri’s aunt, Fran Strong’s home was also completely flooded. Fran is in her 70’s in poor health, and not currently employed.
• Keri’s sister, Cherie Andrews and her husband Gerald were forced out of their home by the flooding. The damage to the community has put Gerald out of work indefinitely.
• Keri’s niece, Samantha Deets shared her home with husband Billy and their 2 and half year old daughter Gracelyn. Billy’s truck was among their losses. Like the Andrews, the Deets’ have also lost their source of income, unsure of when it will return. Please LIKE and SHARE this page and give others the chance to help these families. There is a You Care link ready to accept cash donations today, and other opportunities to directly help these families are coming soon. The damage Harvey has caused feels overwhelming, but piece by piece we will rebuild and Come Back Strong!
