Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 🎃👻🍬

All the fun of Halloween, without the too-scary part! 👻 It’s family-friendly Halloween at its best, complete with candy trails, rare character meet-and-greets, delicious treats, and incredible nighttime entertainment!

Two of my personal favorite highlights from the night were spotting the Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons and riding Space Mountain in total darkness. Zero lights and NO music!🎢👀 Talk about a thrill!

It’s spooky, it’s fun, and it truly has something for the entire family to enjoy, young and old. 🎃

I get asked all the time how some families seem to be able to take a vacation every few years, or even more often.

And the answer isn’t always that they have a huge vacation budget. 🤍

Sometimes, they’re simply planning ahead!

🌟They’re thinking about the vacation BEFORE they’re ready to book it. They’re giving themselves time to save and together we’re looking at different hotel options, chatting through the best ticket type for their family, and coming up with a plan. Then when the booking window opens, I’m breaking the cost into smaller and more manageable payments for them!

What I know for sure after planning 100+ Disney vacations… ✨

The best Disney vacations aren’t the ones where you do the most.

They’re the ones where you enjoy the most.

I’ve learned that trying to “conquer” Disney usually leaves families exhausted. The happiest families I’ve worked with aren’t the ones checking every ride off a list. They’re the ones who leave room for the unexpected.

✨Riding Dumbo one more time because your little ones aren’t ready to move on
✨Taking a midday break so everyone actually enjoys the evening instead of melting down by dinner
✨Grabbing that Dole Whip because the line is finally short
✨Sitting on Main Street with popcorn before the fireworks instead of rushing to one last attraction

And here’s something I wish more people knew…

A family with toddlers shouldn’t tour the parks like newlyweds, and a grandparents trip shouldn’t look like a girls trip. There isn’t one “perfect” Disney itinerary because every family experiences Disney differently.

The same goes for rope dropping.

Just because everyone says you have to be at the gates before sunrise doesn’t mean it’s the right strategy for your vacation. I’ve rope dropped more times than I can count, but some of my favorite Disney days started with sleeping in, enjoying a slow breakfast, and arriving at the parks rested instead of already exhausted.

Planning early helps with so much more than just pricing. It gives you more choices, less stress, and the freedom to build a vacation around your family instead of trying to copy someone else’s.

Because at the end of the day, I don’t want you to come home saying, “We did everything.”

I want you to come home saying, “That was the best vacation we’ve ever taken.” ❤️

Three years. 🩵🩵🩵

July marked 3 years with Martin Magical Travels, and it’s hard to put into words just how grateful I am.

This past year and a half has been career changing. I’ve reached goals I never thought I’d accomplish, been given opportunities that still don’t feel real, traveled more months than I’ve been home, and grown into an even better travel advisor than I ever imagined I could be.

Every family who has trusted me with their vacations, every referral, every message, and every booking… you’ve played a part in this journey, and I am so incredibly thankful. 🫶🏻

Looking back, I’m so glad I took a chance on myself. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth it. Looking ahead, I can’t wait to see what this next year brings.
