Day 8 ✈️🌍

After coffee delivered right to our tent (yes, please!) and a wonderful breakfast, we set off on our final game drive toward the airstrip—definitely outside my comfort zone, but part of the adventure!

A small plane flew us from the Serengeti back to Arusha in just 50 minutes, where Tembo Wild had everything perfectly arranged—including a day room to relax before our flight home.

This was the hardest goodbye… truly the trip of a lifetime. More than a vacation—it was a life-changing experience, and we’re already dreaming of coming back with our kids.

The Tembo Wild difference? The people. What started as a trip ended feeling like family.

Day 7 🎈🦁

Up at 3am for a “night” safari on the way to our hot air balloon ride! Along the way we spotted hippos returning to the water and jackals on the hunt—such a unique experience before sunrise.

I was a little nervous (my first balloon ride!), but wow… floating over the Serengeti was absolutely breathtaking. We even came across a pride of 28 lions with cubs—an unforgettable highlight!

After a champagne bush breakfast, we headed back out for another game drive and ended the day under the stars with lions nearby. Unreal.

The Tembo Wild difference? Every experience is thoughtfully chosen—not just for adventure, but for conservation and community impact.

This was truly something special. 🐘✨

Day 6 🐆

We said goodbye to the crater (so hard to leave!) and made our way toward the Serengeti, stopping at Olduvai Gorge to learn about this incredible archaeological site. Such a fascinating experience!

We enjoyed a scenic sack lunch along the way before continuing into the vast, breathtaking Serengeti and arriving at Conserve Safari Central Serengeti.

The Tembo Wild difference? Even transfer days turn into safari adventures—with impromptu game drives along the way! Plus, their guides are top-tier. Ours trained for 5 years at the highest level, and his knowledge and professionalism truly made the trip.

Day 5 🐘🌿

An early rise for a full day safari inside the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater—a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Every moment felt like something out of a documentary. And SO MANY BABIES!

After an unforgettable morning, we stopped for a “bush lunch” in the most perfect setting… made even better by two elephants putting on a show right in front of us! Truly lunch and a show!

We continued exploring the crater before heading back for an evening of cocktails, entertainment, and a lovely dinner at the lodge.

The Tembo Wild difference? They don’t just plan stops—they create moments like this that you’ll never forget.
