🔥 18' MAVERICK KEVLAR FLATS BOAT | YAMAHA VF150 SHO | NIZPRO 231HP TUNE 🔥

Now THIS was a fun one.

We recently tuned this lightweight 18' Maverick Boats Kevlar flats boat powered by a Yamaha VF150 SHO with the Nizpro Marine 231HP tune.

🔥 150HP → 231HP
🔥 +81 HORSEPOWER

This Maverick was already a 60 MPH flats boat before we touched it.

After the NIZPRO tune?

🚀 71 MPH!

That's an 11 MPH increase in top speed on a boat that was already running 60 MPH.

And on a lightweight Kevlar flats boat, you don't need a stopwatch to feel an additional 81HP.

Another great result from suncoastoutboardtuning - this time on a beautiful Everglades Boats 255CC powered by twin 200HP Yamaha Outboards.

We installed the Nizpro Marine 231HP tune, taking the twins from a combined 400HP to 462HP!

The results were impressive:

🔥 CONTENDER 30 ST | TWIN YAMAHA 300s | NIZPRO 332HP TUNE 🔥

Another successful tune by Suncoast Outboard Tuning — this time on a Contender 30 ST powered by twin Yamaha 300s.

We installed the Nizpro Marine 332HP tune, taking the twins from a combined 600HP to 664HP!

And the results were impressive:

⚡ Faster Holeshot
🚀 Stronger Mid-Range Acceleration
⛽ Fuel Savings Throughout the RPM Range
💰 Up to 20% Fuel Savings at 4,400 RPM
🔥 +64 Total Horsepower

We also found some additional performance just by changing how the boat was being run.

The owner typically runs with the engines trimmed all the way down. By adding just a little positive trim:

Before: 5,200 RPM / 58 MPH
After: 5,600 RPM / 63 MPH

That’s a 5 MPH increase just by adding some positive trim and getting the boat into a better running attitude.

And there may still be more available.

The current prop setup is only allowing the engines to turn around 5,600 RPM. A prop change that lets these engines get closer to the 6,000 RPM range could potentially improve both speed and cruising efficiency even further.

This is exactly why we don’t just flash an ECU and call it done. We want to see how the boat performs and help the owner get the most out of the entire setup.

This Contender is also equipped with , and what a difference it makes. The boat cuts through the waves incredibly well and feels exceptionally solid and planted on the water. Contender Boats are already great fishing platforms, but combined with the additional power, stronger mid-range and improved efficiency from the NIZPRO tune, this is one impressive offshore setup.

Today tuned a 27' Sea Hunt Gamefisher powered by twin 2025 Yamaha F200 outboards.

The owner had done his homework. While researching his boat, he came across an article written by a marine engineer who described 225 horsepower per engine as the "sweet spot" for this hull, the ideal balance of performance, efficiency, and drivability.

Rather than repowering, the owner chose the Nizpro 231 Performance Calibration.

The result?

Today we flashed a Yamaha 300HP on a really nice BlackJack hull owned by the first place winner of the Everglades Fishing Co 2026 fishing tournament.

suncoastoutboardtuning was one of the sponsors and the top 3 winner received a free tune.

We dodged some rain as we completed the tune but the owner had an umbrella to protect the engine while the EFC Go Backpack kept our equipment dry.
