Breathed some new life into this sail cover by applying a new Dacron strip and restitching the seams. Should make it through another season or two.

Lake Ontario was putting on a show this weekend! Glassy, calm water — caught the sun peeking through the clouds at sunrise, and a gorgeous sunset to wrap things up. Hard to beat mornings like that out here. 🌅⛵

Got out to Wright’s Landing and Oswego Marinas to pick up a repair, and catch up with boat owners, and noticed some canvas and enclosures looking pretty worn after a few seasons of Lake Ontario weather — sun and wind take their toll in this environment.

Good news is I’ve still got a few spots open for July and August if your bimini or enclosure need some repair or replacement before the season gets away from us. Drop me a message and I’ll get you a quote!

Built and installed our first proper big table for the shop today! Still needs a sheet of homasote covered in vinyl for pinning into, but I feel like I won the lottery with all of this contiguous horizontal space at my disposal! Better to work on your next canvas project.

Last Friday I stopped by Burt Goodnough's Marina East, Inc. to introduce Martini Marine Canvas, LLC. Before I left, they handed me a boat cover that needed some repairs.

This cover required three holes patched, replacement of a warped vent, and some cleanup of fraying edges. Small repairs like these can help extend the life of an existing cover for another season or two. I completed the work and returned it within a couple of days as promised.

As a new business, opportunities like this mean a lot. I’m grateful for the chance to earn trust through quality workmanship, reliable service, and keeping my word.

Continuing education doesn’t always happen in the classroom.

This week I had the opportunity to assist with patterning a full enclosure for a Sea Ray Amberjack alongside the experienced fabricators of River Custom Canvas, LLC.

Working on projects like this allows me to refine techniques, learn new approaches, and gain experience that I can bring back to every project I complete for my own customers.

I’m grateful for the opportunity and look forward to continuing to grow Martini Marine Canvas through hands-on experience and collaboration within the marine canvas community.
