Anyone else start thinking about fall travel as soon as back-to-school season hits? 🙃

There's something about fall that always makes me think of road trips. The crisp weather, changing leaves and seasonal flavors make it such a beautiful season to slow down and take the scenic route!

After our October wedding, my husband and I spent our first few anniversaries exploring different corners of the country by car. Those trips reminded me that you don’t have to limit yourself to the “classic” fall destinations.

Swipe through for a few classic + unexpected routes I’m recommending for the season ahead!

Where would you add to the list?

I think some people assume travel planning ends once the trip is booked.

In reality, some of the most important work happens in the days and weeks leading up to departure!

Today, I’ve been reviewing final safari documents and confirming details with partners to make sure everything is in place for my clients’ bucket list trip next month.

My hope is that by connecting all the dots behind the scenes, my clients can spend the days before their trip feeling excited instead of wondering what they might be forgetting. And when they’re away, they can simply enjoy the journey ✨

Anyone else obsessively following Freddy and all the World Cup tourists experiencing America for the first time?

There's something so special about seeing others discover places you know and love.

That perspective is what I cherished most about my years in tourism and hospitality welcoming people from all over the world to Paducah, and it’s one of the reasons I now love helping families, couples and friends plan more meaningful travel.

Travel is powerful. You don't truly know a place or a culture until you experience it for yourself.

And seeing your home through the eyes of a visitor... priceless.

Welcome to America! ⚽️

We came for the music festival and will definitely return for more bourbon + horses 🎶🥃🐎

A little Kentucky getaway with my husband has me thinking about how some of the best getaways don't start with a destination. They start with the things you already love to do and the people you love sharing them with.

More on that in my monthly newsletter! https://www.foratravel.com/advisor/laura-oswald

Honeymoons carry a different kind of meaning in travel planning. They’re not just a shared travel experience but also the beginning of a shared life.

I love getting to step into that moment and help a couple shape something that feels true to them.

When this sweet couple reached out envisioning a multi-leg South American adventure for their honeymoon, I was delighted to help them bring it to life!

From Buenos Aires → Mendoza → Iguazu Falls → Rio de Janeiro, it was a full two weeks that needed to feel rich in experience and relaxed at the same time.

I focused a lot on the rhythm and how the journey would feel as they moved through it, how each place connected to the next and how to make the transitions feel easy.

The goal is always the same for me: travel that feels seamless, intentional and personal.

This one was really special 💕

I love having something to look forward to.

Now that Memorial Day weekend has passed, summer travel suddenly feels very real!

Lately, I’ve been helping clients plan summer getaways — from road trips to river cruises to a bucket-list safari journey — and also mapping out a few adventures of my own:

A long weekend away with my husband (and attending our first music festival in over a decade!) 🙃

I always think of summer as a beautiful time to head west.

This summer, my family is traveling to Rocky Mountain NP, and last summer I helped my brother and his girlfriend plan their trip to Grand Teton

Even though both trips centered around National Parks, the planning has looked really different.

For a multi-gen trip with little ones, we’re prioritizing easy logistics — direct flights from Nashville to Denver, minimizing drive time, and making Estes Park our home base so the time away together feels relaxed.

For my brother, they were excited about the journey itself.

I mapped out two road trip routes. One option was a simpler Wyoming loop while the other stretched them further south and through scenic parts of Colorado they’d not experienced before.

I love getting to advise clients early in the travel planning process because the right high-level itinerary framework allows everything else to flow more naturally.

Which National Park would you like to visit next?

Summer fills up quickly which means now is the time to think ahead about the memories you want to make with your family and friends 💭

It’s easy to default to the nearest beach when summer rolls around, but with a little planning, you can create something that feels entirely new!

If you’re still deciding where this summer might take you, I've pulled together a few ideas to get you thinking.

Last-minute travel doesn’t have to mean compromise.

A friend (and event planner with impeccable taste) reached out just three weeks before his flight to Istanbul. Instead of defaulting to whatever was available, we focused on what mattered most — comfort, space to relax, and a location that made it easy to settle into the rhythm of the city.

With the support of trusted on-the-ground partners, we secured beautiful accommodations just steps from Hagia Sophia which placed him right in the heart of Old Town.

We then designed two days of private touring tailored to his interests to make the most of his time in the city without feeling rushed.

He came home calling it the trip of a lifetime ✨

With the right focus and the right partners, you can create something seamless and personal even on a tight timeline.

If you’re planning something last-minute (or just want to hand off the details), I’d love to help!
