Specialized Racks Our Story

With so many rack systems out there why would I want to come up with a new rack system for my truck. The design also makes for a very quiet ride.

The answer is simple, I could not find what I was looking for! I was looking for a rack system that would easily be removed and not interfere with the function of the pickup truck bed. Although others can be taken on and off, it's not quick and easy. After two or three years of making and using makeshift PVC and aluminum racks I decided it was time to do something different. In 2016, I started wor

king on different ideas and designs and after many prototypes I came up with a rack system that can easily be removed from the vehicle in under 1 minute. It's lightweight, strong and can be installed by one person. Made from billet and stainless steel hardware, our systems will not rust in harsh conditions. Our racks are designed to use anyone’s aftermarket lock system. This means someone else's key will not fit your lock! Specialized Racks will accept most other major brands accessories as well. With a 3” wide polished aluminum oval top bar your accessories will stay in place without rotating. You will also notice the oversized top clamp, this works as two functions, first it is extremely strong and second, it also works as a load stop. I have designed this rack to work with most pick-up trucks from the 1960’s thru today’s current models. For trucks that have factory rail systems, Specialized Racks simply mount to the track rail system. Trucks with traditional style beds use the universal mounting kit. No drilling is required with any of our rack systems. What we have come up with is a simple, elegant and strong design that can easily be removed in under 1 minute.
