Yesterday New York State announced the projects that will receive funding.

Unfortunately, RIDE! did not make the final list and was not awarded our $68k funding request.

Our hope was to use the funds to kick off our RIDE! E-bikes program with a capital investment purchase of 20 e-bikes (with associated software service), construction costs for 2 bike parking corrals (one at riverfront and one downtown), and additional batteries for the bikes.

The remaining legal, adminstrative, and operational costs were to be privately funded.

Without the state funding the capital investments, we are reassesing the viability of the project and searching for a new way forward.

The is back, and with it, so is RIDE! After COVID-19 put things on pause, the Peekskill DRI Local Planning Committee will be meeting (virtually) for the last time on August 12 at 7pm. At this meeting they'll be deciding what proposals go to NY State, and we're hoping RIDE! makes the cut. We need your help to spread the word and show your support for our initiative.

We think the COVID-19 crisis has proven the value of the technology layer of civic infrastructure and the value of alternative mobility options. We've seen how valuable technology has been during this crisis -- those who had a tech layer were able to pivot quickly and adapt to the new normal. Those who didn't have that tech layer in place struggled more.

On the mobility side there's been an explosion in cycling as lockdown has limited recreation and exercise options, and cycling provided the perfect healthy escape. Our partners at have seen the increase in demand first hand.

We also witnessed how those without mobility options suffered during the crisis and as local grocery stores shut down those who didn't own cars found that their only options to get fresh groceries were to risk social distancing by crowding onto local buses or try to navigate the local taxi system that lacked a technology layer, leaving people feeling stranded.

Tech and mobility on a hyper local level. That's our proposal. It's recreational, it's functional, it's healthy, it's flexible and adaptable. Join us, , and make this RIDE! a reality.

With the arrival of Phase 3 Reopening in the Hudson Valley, we are announcing that this is the last week of (for now, at least). So get your orders in today!

The Market was born from the COVID crisis and as things slowly return to a new normal, we will be refocusing our efforts on our mobility initiative and our partners and will focus on their newly reopened(!) restaurants.

We thank everyone for the support the last 3 1/2 months. We delivered a lot of delicious food boxes and hopefully kept a few people feeling comfortable and healthy by avoiding too many trips to the grocery store and making some socially distanced space for those who didn't have the luxury.

Our employees thank you for the orders and generous tips -- you helped keep our people afloat during this tough time.

We also thank you for your generosity in donating to our Fred's Pantry fundraiser, where we raised over $1,500 to help the organization feed Peekskill's food insecure. In addition, cooked over 2,500 hot meals to those in need during the Market months through the initiative organized by and others.

It's been a crazy few months, but it served as reminder of the power and importance of the intersection between hyper local community and technology. We hope to continue to focus our efforts on this critical intersection to build a stronger, more resilient, adaptable community that is able to solve challenges quickly and even with a bit of delight.
