The Shepherd's Shelf provides opportunities to fight hunger, advocates for fair policies to address hunger issues in our community, and secure provisions for healthy, nutritious food. The Shepherd's Shelf partners with other food cupboards and community programs to work together for food equity and opportunity. The Shepherd's Shelf is open on Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 PM and Tu

esdays from 10-11am. Recipients will need to show a photo ID and proof of residency (this needs to be a current utility bill, lease agreement. Completion of a declaration of need form is also required. The Shepherd's Shelf is located on the grounds of Christ Lutheran Church in Kulpsville. The distribution center is in the red brick building on the exit driveway. In accordance with Federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its Agencies, offices, and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the Agency (State or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English. To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: http://www.ascr.usda.gov/complaint_filing_cust.html, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. It’s that time of year again… “Round-Up” time at the Harleysville GIANT! From September to December, any payments that are “rounded-up” at the checkout, will go directly into an account that accumulates money for Shepherd’s Shelf. You might not think that your $.03… your $0.47… your $0.68 will make much of a difference - BUT IT DOES!! Last year almost $11,000 was collected which was then used to buy essential food and items for our Shepherd’s Shelf clients! This is a great way to have a little bit go a long way!!

Bring your well-behaved furry, feathered, or four-legged friend to worship with us this Sunday at 9:30 AM for our outdoor service! 🐶🐱🐰
If your pet isn’t able to join us, that’s okay—bring a photo of your beloved pet and we’ll include them in the blessing. ❤️

🐾 Help a Pet in Need: Shepherd’s Shelf will also be collecting pet food, dry or canned, to help local families care for their pets.
Come celebrate the special animals who bring so much joy, companionship, and love into our lives!

Are you looking for a way to make a difference in your community? Consider volunteering at Shepherd’s Shelf—
More volunteers are needed for Weekly Deliveries

🚚 Delivery mornings: Mondays & Fridays, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM time frame.
📱 Convenient: Drivers receive a text when deliveries are on their way, so there’s minimal waiting around.
💪 Requirement: Volunteers must be able to lift boxes weighing at least 20 lbs.

A HUGE “Thank you” goes out to Advent Lutheran Church and Salford Mennonite for sharing the blessed abundance of their garden! Our clients are SO appreciative of this beautiful produce and often comment about the quality and abundance of Shepherd’s Shelf produce offerings. We could not do this without you! We appreciate all of the hard work you put into the garden and we are very grateful for your thoughtfulness and kindness in sharing the result of those efforts!

July NON-Food Drive

Did you know that many of the things that Shepherd's Shelf clients need assistance with have nothing to do with food? There are so many necessities needed for daily life that are not covered by SNAP benefits... to name a few:

1. Shampoo and conditioner
2. Body wash
3. Cleaning products
4. Paper towels
5. Facial tissues

During the month of July, we will be having a NON-food drive and collecting these items. Donations can be dropped off at the church office (Monday-Thursday 9:30 am-2:30 pm) or brought to church on Sundays.

Monetary donations are also accepted either via PayPal https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/8Z7K2LUZXGQ8Q or by check (please make sure to note on check this is for the July Non-Food Drive)
