Should you file a police report for a minor accident? As a value analyst at Kelley Blue Book, we would diminish the trade in value of your vehicle by roughly 20%. When a welded on panel is also replaced, it could be as high as 35%.

If someone else hit your car, it may be wise to go after the other person's insurance company for the 20 to 35% of diminished value before getting your vehicle repaired?

Is Friends and Family Pricing at Dodge and Jeep Dealers a Good Deal?

Not if you check with me first! A few days ago, I negotiated a new Ram (Dodge) truck that had a window sticker of $61,795 and the current Family and Friends’ discounted price on that truck is around $54,886. Sounds like a great deal, but I negotiated that truck’s price down to $49,214.

That’s over $5,000 below the Family and Friends “deal”!

Is the "No Haggle"-"Best Price" the real price on a car in Florida?

A couple days ago a local Toyota dealer added $1,600 as documentation and other nonsense charges back into the advertised no-haggle sales price that went from $18,300 into $19,900, plus tax and registration!

Rather than playing into their game, I just bought the same make and model out of State for $13,600 and had it shipped here for a very reasonable price instead.

$800 and $900 Dealer Documentation Fees? Buying a vehicle in S/W Florida sure is brutal.It amazes me how many car dealers in Florida charge $800 and $900 in doc fees that I only charged $35.00 for as a dealer up north? I have been ordering vehicles from out of State without all these backdoor fees and after deducting for shipping fees, the buyers are still saving lots of money!
