Being back in the UK after all this time has been a very odd experience, and it's already had it's ups and downs. After the initial excitement of return (and the hangover) had worn off, I was left with a sense of anti-climax. Having had a driving purpose for many years, I just didn't know what to do with myself. Thankfully I realised I just needed to get off the boat for a bit, and a long visit to Bristol and Somerset to see friends and family bought me back down to earth.
Now, back aboard Tally Ho, I've retreated to a remote anchorage to tidy the boat up after the long passage and spend some time alone. I've been walking in the woods and swimming in cold water. I'm starting to re-learn how to relax, and this new chapter of life is starting to sink in. I'm still not quite sure what happens next, but I'm beginning to feel really good about it!
