The annual Oregon Cattlemen's Association PAC fundraiser held at the Malott Ranch in Powell Butte held off rain and was a remarkable event 9/24. Fisher’s Red Rock Meat Co provided some signature smoked prime rib and scalloped potatoes to cornerstone plates worthy or a king and queen.

Give Us This Day... to recognize good work. Let's stop and pay thanks to the INCREDIBLE employees of Crook County Landfill. The entry to this landfill, totally clean, manicured and debris free. The options for specialty drop offs, clean and well maintained. The office building, clean, maintenance yard orderly, scale house easy to navigate and friendly attendants. This is NOT a dump. It's a well maintained and managed landfill. All we can say is JOB WELL DONE, each and every day by these crews. THANK YOU, for what you do.

Step back into a Prineville that existed long before smartphones, highways, and sprawling neighborhoods, when children made their own adventures, neighbors looked out for one another, and the rhythms of daily life were shaped by community, hard work, and the outdoors. In this warm and engaging oral history, Emerine Carlin Noble shares what it was like growing up in Prineville during the 1930s and 1940s, painting a vivid picture of a town where simple moments often became lifelong memories.
