I had the opportunity to join forces with my dear friend for our charities - Jeans for a Cause and Good Deeds Girls Night Out - Raleigh. In hopes of doing something fun together again soon!! A huge thank you to our friend Marlana Semenza. It was so great seeing these, we had fun.

Yesterday we gave a charitable donation and the Jeans we collected as a community to Kiran Inc who promotes self-reliance and empowerment of South Asian women & men who are in crisis. The jeans will be headed to India to those in need.

THANK YOU so much for all the support/donations and those who made this happen. I am feeling accomplished and thankful!

Today I donated 14 of my suits to "Dress for Success"! It felt pretty good that it will all go to a good cause:)

***The mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

TONIGHT- Good Deeds Girls Night Out - Raleigh partners with Jeans for a Cause at Trali Irish Pub in Brier Creek!! Did I mention it's 1/2 off wine:)

All ladies are invited to join us. Its floating so you can stop by any time from 5:30pm to 9:30pm or so.

Each lady is asked to donate $5 cash which Sherry Gentry-GasperI will graciously match!!!

Looking forward to supporting my cause with new faces/old friends and finally making my dream happen and getting those 200 pairs in my trunk over to those in need!! THANK YOU!

A great friend helps out, across the country!

Jeans For A Cause
Chai Mommas recently dug into our closets and dresser drawers to gather all those jeans that we no longer fit into but loved enough to hold onto. We knew we wanted to donate to those in need but wanted to make sure it was the right fit. When we learned of Jeans for a Cause, we knew this organization would be the one. We connected with Mani Naik founder and creator of Jeans for a Cause based out of Raleigh, NC who started the organization…whose mission is to “outfit men, women and children In India with jeans or pants who may not be fortunate enough to own jeans of their own.” And we proudly donated as many pairs as we could. Our donations will be distributed to the R.K. Foundation and Bosco Org located in India.

Jeans for a Cause is always looking for donations, both of jeans and financial contributions, to help cover the shipping costs to send jeans to these organizations in India. If you would like to donate, have any questions or would like more information, please contact Mani at [email protected].
