The Bar Harness was born from a problem every rider knows: how to strap down your bike without wrecking paint, plastics, or grips. The Bar Harness II takes that solution even further.

High and wide tie-down points for solid support. Reinforced polycarbonate cups tough enough for the fattest grips in the industry. Stainless steel D-Ring lay-ins for added strength. Break tested at over 1,800 lbs. per side.

This isn’t just another strap — it’s engineered protection for your ride. And if it ever fails? We’ve got a no-questions-asked warranty.

Ride hard. Haul safe.

Back in 1993, we changed the game. The Original Bar Harness solved the problem every rider faced: where to strap down a bike without wrecking the bodywork. Built tough from all-polyester webbing, sewn with our own stitch pattern on CNC machines, it quickly became the go-to gear for anyone hauling a motorcycle.

Decades later, it’s still one of the safest, easiest ways to lock your ride in place. Because when it comes to protecting your bike, second best isn’t an option.

But don't just take our work for it. If you have used our Bar Harness straps let us know what you think in the comments.

I knew it wouldn't take forever for someone to make a copy of the Bar-Harness 2, but I never thought it would be a cosmetically EXACT copy. It's made in China so is much cheaper than the genuine product I invented about 25 years ago. I say "cosmetically" because it's nowhere near as robust as our product. It breaks at about half the test strength of our product, both the strap and the cup let go at about 800 pounds on the pull tester. Our cup breaks at around 2000+ pounds but I have no idea where our strap breaks. I don't have a pull tester that goes high enough to break it. Theirs has no stainless spring steel wire molded into the cup, either, so when it breaks, there's no built-in steel insurance. Another point... They copied our instructions and warnings word for word, including the drawings.
They went so far as to copy our stitch patterns, both the "CD" and the cup attachment end, which I designed and programmed into our sewing machines. Too bad their thread is so thin that it has no strength. Friends... Do us all a favor and BUY AMERICAN!

Has anyone ever gotten a message like this? It looks bogus to me. It came from a Hotmail account in France and requires I respond via Messenger. Keep in mind that I don't sell on my CanyonDancer page and I very seldom even look at it. I'm definately not active on the page in question. The following is the message I got, which is one of several in the past two weeks.

The stainless steel Strap Ring comes in pairs and attaches under almost any 8mm or smaller bolt. It is rated for 2000 pounds each. Not to be used on recessed holes or under bolts holding plastic AND make sure your bolt is long enough!

Thought you all might like to see what we are up to. We just bought a plastic injection molding machine and are waiting for the peripherals. We still need a drier, chiller and hopper loader. They are on their way from Wisconsin. The sewing machines we have had for a few years but molding our own polycarbonate cups is new for us. We previously contracted our molding out but felt we needed more control over quality and supply.
